Stayed Jul 5, 2025Our family of 14 spent a full week in Scafati at this villa. The home was spacious and comfortable. We used every bedroom in the house.William was an amazing host. He helped us arrange transportation, set up a wine tasting at a local winery, and organized a pizza dinner using the outdoor oven-which is a must! He sent his nephew to help with our luggage so we didn’t have to haul it through town, and he surprised us with fresh croissants. He was always available and quick to help when minor plumbing issues came up (common in homes not in constant use). He addressed everything immediately. We arrived via train—and used trains for most excursions, including to Pompeii and Naples. The trains worked well but could run late or be infrequent in the afternoon, so we had to plan accordingly. The villa’s main kitchen was a bit limited on dishes and silverware for our group's size, but the well-stocked commercial kitchen saved the day. We cooked a couple of full meals and had plenty of snacks and sandwiches during pool time. The elevator and pool were great features, and Glovo helped with food and grocery delivery since Uber and taxis aren’t available in the area. The train station and grocery store are about a 10–15 minute walk away, but there is a cafe that is only about 5-7 minutes. All in all, we had an amazing week. We felt incredibly well cared for and would absolutely return.

Stayed Oct 14, 2024Very gracious host. The scenery around the villa is beautiful with well landscaped grounds. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves relaxing at the pool. Do schedule the pizza party while you are there. The pizzas are made in the pizza oven at the villa and was delicious!

Stayed Jun 7, 2023The house and setting are gorgeous and comfortable for a large family. The host was beyond amazing. He welcomed us with a lovely meal prepared by chef Angelo and helped us make all travel arrangements for our stay. Upon discovering we needed a baby crib, he quickly purchased and set up one. Days later when we needed medical attention for one of the other children, he promptly sent a knowledgeable driver to help us find care and continued to check in on how we were doing. One could not ask for a better host than Guglielmo. He is caring, knowledgeable, and on top of any situation. The house suited us perfectly. Kids loved the large pool. But they are also into soccer and chess (as are many of the adults) and there are lovely opportunities for both. The large lawn chess set was a big hit. Adults enjoyed gathering around the pool, in shaded areas of the yard or on one of the balconies. The rooms are comfortable and nicely furnished with en suite bathrooms, most newly remodeled. There are laundry facilities. The kitchen on the main floor is very new and well furnished. To top it off, every morning a large box of fresh pastries was delivered to the front gate. In addition there is a professional chef’s kitchen on the lower level which Angelo used to prepare wonderful meals served in the large adjacent dining area. I recommend this house without reservation. All 18 of us, ranging in age from 6 months to 82 years, enjoyed a lovely stay with an amazing host.

Stayed Oct 15, 2022We led a group of university students to Pompeii, and were looking for a place that could accommodate 18 people. Pompeii Garden House was perfect. Guglielmo was easy to reach and very responsive as we planned the trip. He arranged for Angelo, a local chef, to provide us breakfasts and dinners, which made our stay incredibly easy. The pool was a delightful break after long days of work, and the house had ample space for study and student presentations. The rooms were awesome, and everything was clean and well cared for. After we left, we realized we had forgotten some equipment--but Guglielmo worked with us to find the equipment, and he held it for us until we returned. Overall, we could not have asked for a better host, or a better house!.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969I cannot list enough superlatives about the owner of this property. He was always communicative during the booking process, checking in on our group repeatedly while we were there, even coming over late one night and spending 90 minutes to clean the pool after a rainstorm. The villa is exactly as pictured, with comfortable rooms and lots of space for all sorts of activities. It is tastefully decorated and well-maintained. We had no issues during our stay, and if we had, I am fully confident the owner would have taken care of them. The villa is safe and located in a quiet area. It is about a 15 minute walk from shops, a bakery, cafe, a grocery store, and a circumvesuviana metro station. That said, you will likely need transportation to visit sites, etc. But the owner is more than willing to help with arrangements. Again, he was an absolute pleasure to deal with and is committed to you enjoying your stay. We arranged for a pizza luncheon at the villa's outdoor kitchen, and it was great. Overall I would rate our experience as 5* and the owner himself even higher.

Stayed Jun 18, 2019YES! I would absolutely stay here again. Our family of 3 stayed at the Pompeii Garden House 2 weeks ago. The house and property were immaculate. The beds were actual King-sized beds. And a very, very large in-ground pool was put to good use after a day at Pompeii and Herculaneum. The owners and guardian of the house were very polite and helpful. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome - delivering pizza, gelato, purchasing groceries for us and helping us find food for our son with allergies. The only concern I had was that the house did not have a dryer and we had just come from Greece with loads of washing that needed to be done. Clothes racks were supplied and we were able to hang laundry out that was ready after a day in the sun. The remaining laundry was cleaned and delivered to us. MUCH appreciated! Unfortunately, we only stayed a couple of days and then were off to Rome - there Guglielmo and Paola met us so I could retrieve my forgotten swimsuit and have drinks. If you want to see the sights and come home to relax in the beautiful garden by the pool this is the place for you. You might just be tempted to cancel a tour...

Stayed Jul 7, 2019Probably one of the best VRBO experiences we've ever had. The property was absolutely stunning and felt like we were at a resort. The pool was fabulous and we had several couples sharing the property and we were able to have our own space. Guglielmo started off offering complementary transfer from the airport/ferry, he then took us to a local restaurant for lunch to get us acquainted with the area. He took the time to ensure all of our needs were met and even booked us a trip on the Almafi Coast and a fabulous guided tour with the regions most sought after guide to the Pompeii ruins and Herculaneum. An absolute treat! He took care of us arranging transportation and was always there when we needed absolutely anything. We went away so happy and enjoyed how central the Villa was to such a beautiful area! This villa is a must do! We left feeling like family and know we will be back to visit soon.

Stayed Sep 7, 2018Awesome space, great for getting lots of crazy people together and partying. We were 9 and couldn't really have asked for more. Rooms are well equipped and big, there is so much space even a larger group of people can exist in harmony. Good vibe. Superb service by Paola & Guglielmo. The pool is massive, great restaurants not too far away. And then there is all the historical heritage to enjoy. We will be back!

Stayed Jul 24, 2018Perfect villa for a large group holiday. Everything about the villa is first class. There is plenty of space for a large group to have their own privacy also, with 2 large living/lounge areas and 2 kitchens. The fridge is stocked with drinks that can be purchased and paid for at the end of the holiday. The gardens are spectacular, very well kept and a pleasure to spend your time in. As for the pool, it is beautiful; very large and clean. There is plenty of seating areas with lots of tables, chairs, hammocks and loungers. The pool and outside area are true to the photographs. There is a well equipped outside barbecue area, which we used daily. This villa is very good value for money. However, we would recommend to hire a car; although the train station is close, during the evening there is nowhere to walk to and the supermarket is quite small. However, there is a very good ice-cream shop about 20 minutes all which has the best ice-cream at a very cheap price. Paulo and Guglielmo, the owners, are very helpful and answered any questions we had throughout our stay. They recommend ‘the pizza experience’ where a local pizza company came to the villa and cooked us fresh pizza in the outside ovens, they cooked us a variety of pizzas which fed us for 3 days at only 15 euros a pizza! When we left the villa, Paulo came to meet us and he made us feel very welcomed in his property. What a lovely, friendly gentleman. We visited Italy for a wedding in Sorrento and we feel that we made the right decision to use this villa, it was a very relaxing holiday where we spent quality time with our family. We would definitely recommend this villa if visiting Southern Italy at a fraction of the price of any property in Sorrento. If you want to have a relaxing holiday by spending quality time with your loved ones then this is the property for you.
