Our villa is situated within one minute's walk from the beach, in an idyllic location near the house of celebrated author Nikos Kazantzakis. The residence has been designed with every attention to detail, beautifully decorated in a traditional island style, while at the same time offering all the amenities of a comfortable and relaxing home away from home.

The villa has two bedrooms, a spacious kitchen / living-room area and a bathroom. One bedroom has a double bed, the other has two single beds, and they are both equipped with ample wardrobe space. The kitchen features a very large fridge-freezer, full cooker, dishwasher, laundry, granite worktops, and a microwave for cooking, as well as some other useful appliances (kettle, cafetière, panini toaster, blender). The living room has two very comfortable sofas, a two-seater and a three-seater. The house is air-conditioned and includes Wi-Fi internet access. A cot can be added upon request to accommodate a toddler. You will have access to a private balcony/terrace that can be used for al fresco dining, as well as a beautiful garden.
The apartment is on the ground floor and you can enjoy the garden and outside shower for whenever you come back from the beach.
Also since 2022 Aegina island has drinkable tap water. Water comes from Athens and Marathona.

Aegina is an island in the Saronic Gulf, a little bit outside of Athens. The origins of its name can be traced to mythological times, when Aegina, the daughter of the river god Asopus and the nymph Metope, was a mistress of Zeus. It is an island rich in history, spanning many eras and civilisations, from the Antiquity and Byzantine period all the way to Frankish, Venetian and Ottoman rule. Aegina served as the capital of Greece from 1828 to 1829, is rich in culture, and features many historical sites such as museums and the temple of Aphaea, the temple of Hellanios Zeus, the Ioannis Kapodistrias museum, and the monastery of Agios Nectarios.

Being close to Athens (45-90 minutes from the port of Piraeus, depending on the boat), Aegina is an excellent staging point for day-trips and excursions. Day-trips to Athens to visit the Acropolis, museums, and various other historical sites are highly recommended, as are trips to the ancient Theatre of Epidaurus. Let us know if you are interested and we will of course assist you with making arrangements!

Very good stay, great host. Property was spacious and well equipped. Good location, central enough but a quiet area.

This place is a great choice for Aegina. The house is spotless, comfortable and has a real homely feel to it. It is one minute away from the sea and under 10 minutes drive from Aegina town and the port. Clea and Philip were extremely polite and very fast at responding! Overall a highly recommended choice for Aegina.

We were made to feel very welcome by the owners of this beautiful and artistically decorated house which has everything you could need - fully equipped kitchen, comfortable lounge and bedrooms with good quality linen/towels as well as 2 charming outdoor areas - one with a stunning sea view. The beach, which has one of the only sandy areas close to Aegina town, is one minute's walk away at the bottom of the road and the owners provide all the added luxuries - beach towels, chairs, parasol and even children's beach toys. The house is situated in a very peaceful location and for those without a car, it is a good 40/50 minute walk into Aegina town along the coastal road but the views are breathtaking, especially at sunset. There is a slightly shorter walk via the inland road. We took taxis to return to the house at night time (5 Euros) - ask them to take you to (or collect you from) Polisporis, the cafe/bakery round the corner, as this is well known. The cafe sells fresh bread and there is a small co-operative a little further away that has basic groceries and some fresh fruit/veg as well as wine and olive oil from the barrel. The closest Restaurant (Delphini) is good and reasonably priced. It was very quiet when we were there as it was towards the end of the season but they were happy to cook just for us. We found it helpful that Klea, the owner's mother was staying in the upstairs flat. We received friendly advice and support from her (she kindly collected us and took us back to the port at the start and end of our holiday) and she respectfully allowed us to enjoy complete privacy. This is a lovely place to stay on a delightful island.

The house is really nice, well equipped and in a fantastic location and very comfortable. A 2-minute walk from a small beach with the most clear and delightful water, and a 20 minute walk into the main town.. The house is super-comfortable, and the host, Kleo, made us feel like family guests, not renters. She went out of her way to help us in every way...picking us up at the port, welcoming us to the house with fresh island pistacios, a lovely Greek wine and other gifts. We loved our stay here and recommend this house enthusiastically!

We stayed at the villa for several weeks and had a wonderful time there. The Aegina Island is where Athenian have summer house and ratio of tourists to inhabitants (local or part timer) seemed to be 20% to 80%. The house and surrounding amenities were accurately described by the owner in the listing. The house and yard was clean and well maintained. The owner met us at the port and lead us to the house and she was very helpful and gracious in providing useful information and answer all our questions. The villa is minutes from the sea and since we'd a car (essential) we could easily venture out to the city/port for dinner and or shopping. We've already recommended this place to few friends since it is good for relaxation and enjoyment of sea and socializing with island inhabitants. There were several very good restaurants and bars and communication is of no problem for English speaking visitors. The transportation to and from Athens is very easy since several ferry companies operate there, with several options for travel to and from mainland. We took couple of trips to northern and western Greece and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Homely accommodation with rooftop views a few minutes walk from a quiet beach. The owner was very welcoming and kind. Very accessible location with the convenience of a small cafe/bakery nearby. We were able to walk to the port town but we also rented a car for part of our stay to explore the island further. Quiet and peaceful at night. Very clean and well equipped. Light and airy space. We really enjoyed our stay.

We have spent a wonderful week in aegina in this nice villa, really close to the sea (2mn is a maximum ), perfect for a quick swim any time in the day. Warm welcome and discret continuous attention from the owner help us to feel at home during this week. Really convenient for a family (we were 2 adults and a 2year old child), we deeply recommend you to ask Philip about his villa availability !
