Stayed Jul 6, 2025We spent a lovely week at Casa Gaia and couldn’t have asked for a better base to explore the area. The location is ideal—peaceful, scenic, and with easy access to public transport, making day trips a breeze. The villa itself is well equipped and offers beautiful views of the bay of Sorrento.A special thanks to Michele, who was always available and ready to help if needed and made us feel welcomed and supported throughout our stay.Highly recommended for travellers looking for a great spot to explore the local area.

Stayed May 30, 2025Glorious location. Very beautiful interior and exterior living space. 6 adults can be very comfortable in the 3 bedrooms. The property manager was attentive and quick to address any of our needs. Convenient appliances, including a washing machine. Cute town is an easy walk from the house with everything you could need. Can't wait to go back!

Stayed Oct 4, 2024The location is gorgeous! The views were spectacular and small town is walkable from the home. St Agata was a great place for food, grocery and setting up our tour of Amalfi. We enjoyed our stay here and the outdoor space was perfect for a large group. Thank you for hosting us!

Stayed Sep 20, 2024We were a group of 5 adults 50 - 70 age group. 1.The pictures for this property are very deceiving. The Home is beautiful but is in bad need of updating. 2.There was a damp musty smell in the home. 3.The pool area (which did not affect us as we did not use it- but we walked on it to take pictures of the excellent views) a lot of the surrounding deck and railings were rotted and in my opinion were an accident waiting to happen. One of the patio chairs was rotted and broke when my husband sat on it. 4.Communication with owner was excellent however but this property was not something that I would want to spend a week in. 5.The towels supplied were dreadful. 6. Location wise was good. Overall if the property was updated, I would most likely recommend.

Stayed Aug 24, 2024As a group of six , we had a lovely stay . We were greeted on arrival by our host, Michele. He gave us a tour of the property and contact info . He had arranged for pick up from the train station and our driver was lovely .We booked him for our return trip . There is plenty of space indoors and outdoors . The pool was a nice bonus for the hot August heat . There is a footpath right next to the house which brings you directly into the village . Highly recommended Orlando’s and Wine Bar which is just a short walk at the end of the path . Michele hosted a pizza night for us with his lovely wife ….best pizza ever !!! The fresh tomatoes and plums from their garden and an overly bottle of wine were waiting for us on arrival were delicious. For a larger travel group , this is definitely a place to consider . Thank you so much for an amazing 5 day stay !

Stayed Aug 16, 2024A week with 3 generations under one roof was perfect. The host Michele is a chef so prepared us a pizza night that was delicious and so much food we had leftovers for 5 adults the next day. Michele brought us fresh tomatoes and eggs from the onsite garden and chickens. There’s a great view of the sea. The veranda is gated which was ideal with a 3 year old and 1 year old. A short walk into the village and an easy drive for day trips around the Amalfi Coast. Highly recommend this villa for a group. So much outdoor seating and plenty of shade. The A/C units worked great for us Americans ;)

Stayed Jul 13, 2024Casa Gaia, from where we've enjoyed the most superb view over the Bay of Naples and the Vesuvius, is a truly enchanting place. The house is very generously equipped- from plentiful seats, tables, deckchairs, towels and kitchen equipment••• The manager, Michele Maresca, made our stay a most pleasant experience- competent, reactive and helpful, all of which made our vacation so utterly enjoyable!!!

Stayed Jun 11, 2024I stayed at Casa Gaia Sorrento with five of my friends for four nights. We found the house to be perfect for our group. The property is gorgeous and the pool was perfect to relax by and enjoy some wine and food. We loved how big the outdoor space was and ended up spending most of our time outside on the patio and by the pool. Even though the location was about a 18 minute drive from the Sorrento town center, we really enjoyed being away from Sorrento because it was nice and peaceful. Michele was a great host and very attentive and answered all my questions via WhatsApp. There are a few things that we would strongly encourage Michele to address. The first is the WiFi, I think there needs to be better WiFi coverage in the house on the upper levels especially. The second is the hot water, there was no hot water in the primary bathroom on the top level. I waited 15 minutes for the water to warm up and it never did so I had to either use another bathroom or take a cold shower. Last is the ants that were in the double bedroom. My friend woke up covered in ants and had ants in his suitcase. The ants were a big problem for us and this needs to be addressed immediately. If someone was allergic to ants and got bit, that would be a big problem. All in all, the house was great and we really enjoyed our stay there! Thank you Michele for being a great host!

Stayed Jun 21, 2024I truly would love to give this villa a 5 star but I simply can't based on our unique experience. Pros: - The host was very easy to communicate with and very responsive. They live 5 min away so they were quickly to react to any questions/issues. - The local town is exactly a 7 min walk to the first restaurant. Another 10 min to the grocery store which is on the end of the town. The walk is a bit uphill. Don't use Apple Maps or google maps as it won't show you the proper way. The walk is a private walkway and not the street so no cars and much faster. Cons: - We kept running out of hot water - it seemed like only one shower can get hot water at a time. There was a water main issue in the main town that lasted one day that may have contributed. - We tripped the circuit breaker once and lost power - We had to carry our bags out the back when we left because the gate remote didn't work - I asked the hosts to schedule a taxi for us and ended up getting over charged. I scheduled myself afterward for a much better rate. These issues might have been a one time issue but I got quite upset running out of hot water with suds in my hair twice. It was a beautiful villa and there is a good chance the issues we ran into won't occur with others but given the amount of money we paid for the villa, I expected a smoother stay. I don't think we will be back but since these issues are easily fixable, I would expect the host to address quickly for future stays.
