Summary:

Discover the ultimate ocean vacation at Nirvana Lodge, a luxurious villa directly on the Caribbean Sea with breathtaking views of Klein Bonaire. Enjoy spectacular sunsets from your own infinity pool while the ocean literally lies at your feet. This spacious accommodation offers everything for an unforgettable stay just 130 meters from Bachelor's Beach.

The Space:

Nirvana Lodge is a luxurious villa located in the desirable Belnem neighborhood, with spectacular ocean views over Klein Bonaire. This spacious 300 m² accommodation is situated on the ground floor and offers a unique oceanfront location. The villa is just 130 meters from Bachelor's Beach, 1.1 kilometers from Good and More supermarket, 1.5 kilometers from Brass Boer restaurant, and 1.5 kilometers from Dive Friends Delfins dive center. The highlight is undoubtedly the beautiful infinity pool that seamlessly flows toward the horizon of the Caribbean Sea.

Guest Access:

As a guest of Nirvana Lodge, you have access to the entire villa, including all five bedrooms, five bathrooms, the open kitchen, living room, and all outdoor spaces such as the private garden, covered veranda, balcony, and terrace. The highlight is naturally the beautiful infinity pool with direct access to the ocean. There is free parking available both on the property and on the street. To warmly welcome our guests and provide explanation about the accommodation and our beautiful island, we personally handle all arrivals! The Sunwise hosts for the accommodation will make arrangements with you regarding your arrival.

The Neighborhood:

South of the center and toward the salt pans: one of Bonaire's most famous residential and vacation areas, traditionally linked to Harry Belafonte. Belnem grew into a collective name for luxury subdivisions like La Palma, Sabal Palm, Lima, Punt Vierkant, and Playa Esmeralda. You're close to beloved south coast beaches (like Bachelor's Beach) and iconic dive spots here; ideal for sunsets and relaxed beach life. Quietly residential, with quick routes to the airport and downtown.

Getting Around:

A rental car is a must on Bonaire to explore the island beyond the immediate surroundings of Nirvana Lodge in Belnem. With your own car, all corners of the island are accessible at your own pace, from remote snorkeling spots to local restaurants. We recommend everyone rent a car, as it enables you to reach everywhere. Most roads on Bonaire are paved, but for natural areas like Washington Slagbaai National Park, a pickup truck or SUV is recommended. The roads in the park are unpaved and sometimes rough, making a regular car unsuitable. There is no public transport and the number of taxis is limited, especially on busy days when a cruise ship is docked, for example.

Other Things to Note:

Check-in from 3PM, check-out by 10AM. Early or late check-in/out is possible upon request, depending on other guests. Smoking and pets are not allowed in our accommodations. We ask for noise consideration in the evenings out of respect for neighbors. Enjoy your stay at Nirvana Lodge!

Interaction with Guests:

The Sunwise team goes the extra mile to make your stay at Nirvana Lodge as enjoyable as possible. During your stay we are here to help with any questions. You can reach us most easily through the Guest App (the link is in your confirmation e-mail), by e-mail or WhatsApp of the Sunwise guest team for Nirvana Lodge, or through the messaging platform where you made your booking. We usually respond quickly, especially during the day, and will make sure your stay on Bonaire is unforgettable.

Stayed there 2 years ago. The dock is new and very nice. Some areas are beginning to show wear, hot water wasn’t great in front of the house. The giant sliding glass door with the engraving is a royal pain to open and close. We all had a great time, beds were very comfortable. Diving off the steps into the water, excellent and good diving and snorkeling. Will definitely book again. Plenty of dishes and cooking items for large group dinners. Fantastic sunsets.

We stayed at Nirvana Lodge and it was truly perfect! This was a family Christmas trip. We had 4 adults, 5 children ages 9-17. 4 of us are divers. The house was perfect for a large family. We had plenty of room to gather, eat dinner, and play games but each room was private enough we could enjoy some alone time when needed. The location was perfect for diving, the house reef was an easy stair entry off the back and offered a beautiful reef. We saw many eels, turtles, and an octopus in the shallows about 20 feet from the pier! The house had everything we needed to cook, but there are also several great restaurants within walking distance including Bloozz and Windsock Beach Bar. The pool was perfect for the kids to play or the adults to relax with a drink. The rooms all had mini fridges and many of them had beautiful seating areas and balconies overlooking the ocean. We are a coffee loving family and the house had a traditional coffee pot and an Nespresso machine. The managing group Sunwise was amazing, Ellie met us at check in and checkout and was available throughout the trip if we needed anything, but the house was perfect and we didn’t need anything. We love staying on the southside of the island close to our favorite dive sites and an easy drive to town, and this was perfect. Parking was easy, we could pull in front of the house to unload gear and there was ample parking across the street. This was the PERFECT house for a large family, can’t wait to return!

We had a group of 8 people. The house had plenty of space for us to hang out together but also allowed for privacy if/when needed. Property managers were very responsive to any issues that arose and to any questions we had. I highly recommend this house for any large groups or families. We will be looking at Nirvana Lodge for future visits to Bonaire.

We absolutely loved the property. Plenty of room, quiet at night, pool was fantastic. Bedrooms were large with private bathrooms. Aircond worked quickly. Area felt very safe. Close to beaches and restaurants. I recommend Joes’, Eddy’s and Foodies. Pizza at pasa bon delicious, between 2 buns- excellent and B for Bagel too. Rent a truck and explore

First the good stuff: gorgeous infinity pool, nice new kitchen, ac in the living room (which was so important as you will see), close to dining options and airport. Responsive management. Not so good stuff: massive construction next door. We arrived to two jackhammers going at once within 8 feet of the villa. This lasted for two days straight from 7am until 4pm. We could not hear ourselves speak let alone sit outside. We called management and though they could see and hear for themselves how awful it was, they could not do much for us and claimed to not have known about it. For most of the rest of the week, construction was inside the building next door but nonetheless being awakened at 7am to hammering and sawing while on vacation is rather awful. If we had been told this might happen, we could have prepared ourselves or even rented some place else but though we looked, there were no options so late. I strongly urge you to wait 6 months before renting this home. There were other smaller issues with the property-back deck looking over water in disrepair from a storm a few years ago. We were told it would be repaired eventually. Furniture feels tired and older. Chandelier at top of steps not working which makes going up and down at night somewhat treacherous. Fans in bedrooms not functional. Parking is across the street in a parking lot which makes it difficult for divers to get gear loaded in and out and lastly because of the construction, we could not get to dive rinse tank. All in all a disappointment after staying in many wonderful villas on Bonaire in the last 15 years.

The house was amazing, plenty of room and the property manager was very accommodating! Very close to dive sites and most nights we dove right off the house dock which is an easy in and out access and be sure to look for the huge eel on the reef. Be sure to looks all the doors in the house, the last night we were there we had packed up most of our stuff and while we were sleeping someone came in through an unlocked door and stole a purse from, the main level with passports, wallets with ID and credit cards, also taken was a backpack with computers/ipads and camera equipment and other equipment we had on the kitchen counter. We called the police and filed a report but getting home without a passport and ID was a challenge. It was a little unnerving knowing someone was in the house while we slept but needless to say it won't keep us away from Bonaire and next time we will be a bit more careful. Great house, just be sure to lock the doors and use the safes they provide in each room!! The house is beautiful with amazing views ALL DAY!

Great home and outstanding location! Could use a few updates but you can’t beat the million dollar view and the best house reef for diving! Could use a blanket for each bed (as you only get one sheet), a new stove and coffee maker. Needs better integration of inside and outside sound. Great location and beautiful infinity pool! Lovely hosts and look forward to returning.

Absolutely gorgeous property. Just pack your scuba/snorkel gear, sunscreen & bug spray- nothing else is needed. House was beautifully furnished with everything you could possibly want or need. Several restaurants in walking distance and plenty within a 10 minute drive. We spent every day in the pool and/or the ocean off the back deck, fantastic snorkeling & diving right off the stairs. Excellent communication with property manager, very quick to respond via WhatsApp. We loved this home and are already planning a return trip.

This was our 3rd trip to Bonaire in the last 5 years. We always book a different vrbo home. With little ones, the pool is a must, as we change throughout the day as to who is diving and who is playing with kids back at the house. KIds on this trip were ages 7, 6, 3, and 3. Nothing appeared to be unsafe or a hazard for our group. Nice to have an outdoor shower and a toilet room in the patio area. Property management was great. Answered questions we had within hours, and anything extra we needed showed up in less than half a day. The plastic blender pitcher cracked during use, we let Cecile know via email and she had a new one delivered in hours, and it had two pitchers, glass and plastic option. We used the glass one (best for frozen cocktails of course), and it worked perfectly. The kitchen is well stocked with spices and even some basic cooking essentials, olive oil, vinegar, etc. this was a delight and a surprise, as we normally don't find that in the homes we've stayed at. Also, plenty of cooking ware, utinsels, pots and pans. we do all breakfasts and most dinners at the house and found everything we needed. For future organizers in terms of who you put in which rooms, the two upstairs ocean view masters are clearly ranked 1 and 2, 3rd and 4th best/biggest- upstairs street side and ground street side. The toilets are all pretty tall. We just figured the person who built this amazing home was tall. My husband is 6 foot 3 so he thought it was great! Our 4 year olds girls didn't have an issue using them. The only could be improved things I would mention are the dishwasher could use a couple of extra wheels, to help the dish trays slide in nicer (we still made it work and it wasn't something we felt like needed attention while we were there, I'll email the property owner separately to let them know and it will probably get fixed by your stay), and the pier at the house, has some loose posts and erosion to the iron, but this was also not an issue for us. With salt water destination, this should be expected, and most homes don't have this fabulous pier and sit out on the ocean gazebo option... so I recommend you pour a cocktail, and enjoy it, and just look past this imperfection. We still used it as desired and had lots of fun jumping off the pier into the ocean. Stay here! It's worth it. Nirvana Lodge rocks! You won't be disappointed.
