Stayed Aug 20, 2024The property was perfect for our family of five. We were originally going to be a party of eight. That would have made things tight. Be aware, the bathroom on the main level is extremely small. A big person would find it difficult to use. The pool was wonderful, and it is close to the beach.

Stayed Jul 1, 2024The house is lovely and is exactly as pictured. It had everything needed for a wonderful stay. Communication with the host was quick and thoughtful. The host also owns a hotel and his staff was available to us to answer any questions we had and they were kind and very, very helpful. One thing to consider about this rental is its location. We knew it was out of the way, but not aware of how expensive it can be to travel via taxi/uber ($30-$40 just to Fira and $60 to the airport which was only 4-5 miles away). We were told there were restaurants and a store near by but had trouble finding them. With thanks to the host's staff we realized we had to take a path at the end of the road, then wall through another path to get there - about a 10 minute walk. There were 3 restaurants, a terrific small market and a bus stop. The bus runs to Fira on the hour for $2 each way which was easy and only a 20 minute ride. If you wish to reach other areas of the island it might be best to rent a car.

Stayed Jun 14, 2024We arrived and the place looked great. I rented with the expectation of doing laundry from the first leg of our trip but the washer broke. It took three days and almost no communication for a replacement that arrived the night before we left while out on an excursion. The property was beautiful but not as clean as it should have been. We had reservations but the pool was dirty and we skimmed it ourselves with a skimmer we found in the garage. The mattresses and pillows were very bad. There were no instructions on how to reach a taxi, how to operate any of the appliances, and where we could find stores and what not. A few updates and a good cleaning between residents would make this a five star!

Stayed Aug 27, 2022We had a wonderful time staying in this villa in Santorini! This villa is on the quiet side of the island which was great. We took a catamaran tour on the water around the island and saw the sunset and we also were able to take a day trip to Ammoudi Bay then retreat from the touristy areas. We were a very short walk to the beach which was very private as well as to an area with a market and a few great restaurants in both directions. My family loved the pool even though all of our children are in their thirties. Our host was extremely responsive and even helped us arrange transportation since we did not have a car. We even loved all the cats that came to visit!

Stayed Aug 14, 2022Monolithos beach is a hidden gem on the island of Santorini, away from the big crowds and narrow streets of Oia and Fira. This house hase a private pool and is just one block from the ocean and a couple of blocks from the Monolithos beach with restaurants, bars and a small market. They need to do a better job of pucking up the litter as there is trash on the ground all over Monolithos, but the is really the only negative thing I could say about this area, everything else was great! The mattresses on the bed could use an update and other than that the house was fantastic!

Stayed Jun 29, 2018The home is situated in a residential area right by the airport. While you can hear planes, there is not enough activity to be bothersome. Philip provided assistance with getting to the property, and was responsive to all needs and questions. The property was exactly as listed. The pool is large. Being on the mid-eastern side of the island, the area is quiet, but still just a short drive to the more commercial and tourist areas. Renting a car is highly recommended, but be aware that Google maps does not always differentiate between roads and walkways! The town of Monilithos is great. It is quiet and there is a hotel, restaurants, a family beach with fishing, volleyball and basketball courts, and a small grocery/convenience store - all within a short walk from the home. Note: the beach is rocky, so consider water shoes and maybe a couple of beach towels. If you forget them, they are available at the convenience store. After a busy day touring the island, you can decide to grill at the house and relax by the pool! We did not have any issues with water pressure or temperature for showering, despite reading that water can be an issue. You do, however, have to purchase bottled water for drinking. There are two bedrooms on upper level, each with a double bed and one full bath. There is one bedroom with a double bed and pullout on the main level, along with the sitting area that has the large sectional. The full bath on the main level is rather small. There is also a washer and a rack to air dry clothes. Air conditioning worked well, WIFI was provided and you could watch cable/internet programs on the large TV on the main level. Local channels were available on the bedroom TVs. Ultimately, if you are coming to Santorini with family, and would like the option to feel like you have the conveniences of “home away from home”, you should consider renting this property.

Stayed Jul 1, 2017Philip was a great host and very responsive to our needs, which were hardly any, because everything was great! We even got to see a pair of mourning doves incubating their eggs on the back patio. Lovely villa and also excellent support from Kapari resort staff. Highly recommend.
