Mansion Sophia-Famous Santorini Villa-Car Rental included *- Private & Spacious

The villa was very comfortable for us and the courtyard was so private and relaxing we spent more time there than expected. We discovered this is wine country for Santorini and we were able to walk to Gavalas Winery from villa and Santo Winery and Venetsantos were less than 2 miles away - both with amazing views, tastings and restaurants. The team organizing our stay (Takis & Vasia) were responsive and very accommodating! The rental process was easy and driver back to airport was amazing.

What a lovely villa. We loved the little village which was quite an untouristy yet convenient to everything on the island.

We had a great 3-night stay in early May. Our pleasant experience began a few months ahead of time, as the Property Manager, Takis, provided prompt feedback and guidance related to planning, etc. Upon arrival, Vasia was there to escort us to the property and was readily available throughout our stay for any questions or recommendations. The property was just as listed - a historic property in Megalochori with an awesome courtyard pool and furniture for relaxing. The home itself was roomy, clean, and well-equipped (although clearly reflective of traditional styling, not contemporary). Quiet and well located for exploring Santorini beyond the cliffs of the caldera, we had a wonderful stay!

This was a wonderful place to stay! The place is clean, spacious and comfortable. It has a private outdoor area with a private pool and sitting area which we really enjoyed. It is quiet and settled within the charm of Megalochori. I loved feeling like we were experiencing true Santorini culture as we got to walk through the white walled streets to our place. It is within walking distance of several restaurants. The host was very helpful. They met us and showed us the home in detail to get us settled and then gave us advice on how to optimize our time in Santorini which was so helpful. The car rental was easy and allowed us to travel where and when we wanted. For us - this was the perfect way to experience Santorini. We could go into the busy areas when we wanted to but then go home to the quiet and charm of Megalochori to rest and relax. Everything was as stated in the advance information, the hosts were wonderful and very helpful. We loved it!

Mansion Sophia is beautifully nestled within the village. With it's own private pool courtyard and rustic charm. Absolutely loved the village charm!

Stunning villa in very secluded, beautiful setting. Maybe not one for the elderly or young children due to all the steps but for us, perfect. Very helpful and warm welcome from Konstantinos. Lots of lovely restaurants only 2 minutes walk. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful space to stay. The village of Megalochori is a true gem. Very quiet place with friendly people and a labyrinth of walkways that take you to wonderful sites. This property is impeccable, and is more beautiful than the pictures. Everything at the villa is taken care of so well. Anything you may need is there. Takis and Konstantinos are outstanding to work with and made my trip a real pleasure. Megalochori is close to everything but far away enough from the port areas to experience the local culture. Great traditional restaurants, shops and a bakery are just steps away from your door. Highly Recommend and definitely will be going back.

The villa had everything we were looking for and more . Everything was exactly as shown on the pictures and descriptions. Beautiful and spacious both inside and outside , also you can come up to the roof area and we were lucky enough to also spot some fireworks on our last night . The pool was perfect for the kids to cool off after exploring the Island.. The villa is located in a beautiful Megalochori, close to the bakery ,local restaurant, shops and you can even pick up some souvenirs . We fell in love with the town , local people were very friendly and you get a glimpse of Greek culture. I would definitely pick this location again for our next Santorini stay .Great communication with the host from beginning to end , our pick up from the airport was arranged as well . We were welcomed with a bottle of a local Santorini wine which was very very good .Konstantinos gave us great tips of all the amazing places to visit and answered any questions we had .Big plus was also a car rental which was included with the villa , that saved us a hassle of finding rental places . Everything was planned by the host so it made it easier on us and so it was less stressful . Overall we are extremely happy and I can honestly recommend this amazing villa located in beautiful Megalochori. Thank you once again for having us and making our stay so special .

Wow. Absolutely beautiful property. It’s even better than the pictures. The pool was pristine, the decor was perfection and the views were stunning. The host reached out to us immediately after we booked. He scheduled transportation for us from the ferry so we didn’t have to figure that out on our own. The concierge, Konstantinos, met us when we arrived and showed us around the house. (I noticed that when he was rolling my suitcase along the path to the house that he paused and lifted it up when we came across water on the path so the wheels of my luggage did not go through the water) He sat down with us and made notes on a map with suggestions for site seeing, shopping and dining. He recommended tours and offered to get reservations for us. He made sure we had his contact number and when we texted him later with a question about the air conditioning, he responded immediately. We’ll recommend this listing for anyone we know that plans to travel to Santorini for vacation. Ten stars!

I stayed here mid-April for a nice relaxing holiday with my husband and 2 teenage sons - and boy did it deliver! We loved the house, pool and the gorgeous outside areas and the weather was perfect (sunny and mid 20s degrees). Megalochori is a wonderful little traditional village and probably the best village to stay in out of the ones that we visited on the island. It is beautiful and nice and quiet in April although it might have been better a week or so later when the local restaurants open, but we were still happy with the fabulous family bakery and the 2 local eateries that were open and within walking distance, and not forgetting Mr Scoops for his coffee and ice cream, literally a minute’s walk away. We didn't expect a full maid service every day so that was a bonus and combined with the help and advice from Takis and Evgenia, it felt more like a 5 star hotel than a villa rental. We had a late flight and Evgenia met us in the village and took us to the villa and told us everything we wanted to know about the house and island. She was so lovely and we were able to WhatsApp her whenever we had a question about anything and she replied immediately, nothing was too much bother. Having a car was a welcome addition and the roads weren’t too bad. The local wineries had an open free wine tasting session in the Symposion Cultural Centre, which was next door to the villa, so that a was an unexpected highlight – thanks to Evgenia for telling us about it.
