The Neighborhood:

Scottsdale is a desert city in Arizona east of state capital Phoenix. It's known for its spa resorts and golf courses, including TPC Scottsdale. Farther north, trails wind through McDowell Sonoran Preserve, a desertscape of hills, rock formations and cacti. Nearby is Taliesin West, architect Frank Lloyd Wright’s former home and studio. Downtown's Old Town Scottsdale has 1920s buildings and 19th-century olive trees.

NIGHT LIFE:

Sometimes described as South Beach in the desert, Scottsdale's nightlife has rightfully earned a reputation as one of the Southwest's top destinations for late night revelry. Downtown Scottsdale, which encompasses pedetrian- and tourist-friend Old Town as well as the club-laden Camelback Corridor, is the place to be when the sun goes down. Visitors may be surprised to see just how eclectic the Scottsdale nightlife scene really is. Although dance clubs and swanky lounges dominate, Scottsdale nightlife also hosts a growing roster of bustling wine bars and Western-style saloons. So whether you're in the mood to don cowboy boots or dancing shoes, the diverse Scottsdale nightlife scene offers something for all.

RESTAURANTS:

Scottsdale is home to more than 600 restaurants, making this upscale desert city one of the country's top foodie destinations. No matter what type of cuisine you're craving, the city boasts an impressive roster of restaurants, eateries, gastropubs, and cafes specializing in regional and global specialties. Acclaimed chefs, culinary invention, bold Southwestern flavors and some of the best al fresco dining in the country come together in Scottsdale for a truly unique and exceptional dining scene. The city is also home to a campus of the world renowned Le Cordon Bleu culinary arts program, which means Scottsdale is blessed with a steady supply of young, energetic chefs ready to leave their mark on the local restaurant scene.

SHOPPING:

Where do savvy shoppers go the first Saturday of the month Up north to the tiny Western community of Cave Creek for the popular Thieves Market and Auto Grotto, a flea market specializing in vintage collectibles and exotic imports. About 60 vendors and 2,000 shoppers gather for this shopping extravaganza featuring live music, food trucks and hand-crafted artisanal treats. Whether you're on the look out for a vintage typewriter, the perfect painting to hang over the couch, or other vintage treasure, there's a good chance you'll find it at the Thieves Market. Good spirits, good music, good food, and some of the best flea market finds in the city--all conveniently located in one spot.

Getting Around:

This location is a Car-Dependent neighborhood so most errands require a car

Other Things to Note:

➤ Hot tub heating details: The pool and hot tub share the same equipment. While the pool is not being heated, the system does need to cycle on a regular schedule to clean both the pool and the hot tub. Because of that, the hot tub needs to be scheduled and can’t be heated on demand. The hot tub takes about an hour to fully heat. If you’re unsure of the exact time you’ll use it, we just need about 1–2 hours’ notice so we can turn it on and have it ready. If you already have a general plan for the day, you can also share a rough 3–4 hour window you plan to use it, and we’ll schedule it in advance. (Just a reminder the additional fees are. Pool heating: $150/night + $150 preheating fee. Hot tub heating: $50/night (no preheating fee) (3-day minimum).

➤ Please note that the home's skylight does not turn off.

➤ The garage is NOT accessible for guests.

➤ Unfortunately, we can’t offer a bag drop-off. For those arriving early or having a late flight, you can use bagbnb site to find options to drop off your bag for a fee

➤ Please keep in mind that the guests don’t have access to the USPS mailbox or any mailboxes, and I’m not responsible for any packages delivered to the unit.

Host needs to be clear when renters are requesting the pool to be heated what temp it will be heated to and make sure that temp is maintained during the whole time the renters are paying for it. A bigger pool heater might be needed to keep the pool warm.

We had a group of friends come and stay and the house was absolutely perfect. 4 mins from old town, great open lay out, pool, 3 full bathrooms. I’m in property management and the hosts were amazing with their communication and easy check out. Can’t wait to stay here again!

Great place to escape from the Midwest for Spring Break. Location was close enough to everything we wanted to explore. Very nice indoor/outdoor living with a large hot tub. Peaceful and quiet neighborhood. Definitely would stay here again.

It’s a beautiful property, needs to be cleaned better( There were stains on two different bedroom sheets, hair in the shower)Does not have a full size mirror, which would be helpful also a regular coffee maker would be useful.
