Stayed Apr 17, 2025A beautiful gem nestled in the midst of gentle rolling Hills and forests, not far from a beautiful art town in southern Indiana. The home was beautiful with grasslands and forests surrounding it. It was so quiet and peaceful with only the singing of birds and rustling of leaves in the cool spring zephyr to break the silence. The hosts had considered and provided for so many details for the convenience of the guests. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. The home was very clean and full of beautiful original artwork. The hosts were very generous, they left a bottle of champagne. There was plenty of Chinaware, silverware and also plastic ware for the outdoors. The host provided a lot of dishwasher soap so we could easily reuse all the chinaware. We had a wonderful time, tookA lot of photos and will remember this trip for many years to come. Will definitely go back again in the fall.

Stayed Nov 28, 2024The property was exactly as advertised. Beautiful home and outdoor setting, open, and plenty of room for a family. Fully equipped kitchen and cozy bedrooms. If I were staying longer, I would have utilized the downstairs fitness room. This was a wonderfully relaxing place to stay. We felt far from town, but we were actually really close to both Nashville and Bloomington. Highly recommend.

Stayed Aug 10, 2024We were only here for one night but enjoyed our time. Everything was clean and spacious and the listing is very accurate in its description and photos. It's about a 15-20 minute drive to either Bloomington or Nashville and would make a great base of operations if you had a trip and wanted to visit both those towns.

Stayed Aug 5, 2024Two of our friends had to cancel. But the remaining two of us made the best of it. This is my second time staying at The Wilds. Such a lovely space. Love being in Brown County with all the mod cons. I gave four stars on cleanliness because the kitchen sink had food remnants in it, the control panel on the stove was greasy, and the coverlet on the farthest bedroom on the left had a stain. Not a big deal, but thought you should know.

Stayed Jul 17, 2024Beautiful, peaceful setting and amazing property - the house was very beautifully decorated, very neat and clean and everything needed and then some provided as well as a welcome gift. Communication with Nick was easy and always upbeat and positive. Lovely recommendations and easy to follow directions, and timely communications helped make our stay great. The location was perfect with its proximity to Nashville, Bloomington, Brown County State Park and more - we absolutely loved the grounds and our time at Hard Truth Distillery - and the LC Steele Historic Home and Site. More to see and do then time allowed. But always good a the end of the day, happy and tired from our adventures, to come back to our lovely home away from home and sit on the patio and watch the moon rise over the field and the deer grazing. Can't say enough - would highly recommend. (only thing missing - not important to us this time - but important if I was with other friends or family who enjoy playing games and cooking and dining to together at a big table indoors is a indoor dining table - with these friends and the beautiful weather - that was not missed - we loved being on the patio.)
