Luxury Villa, Sleeps 10, Pool, Games & Cinema EXCELLENT VALUE.

This is a very nice spacious and comfortable villa with four good sized bedrooms which are all of a good standard, as are the ensuites. Water flow and hot water supply are great. The kitchen is well equipped and has ample crockery, glasses, cutlery and general kitchen equipment and utensils. There are two fridge freezers, however both freezers were iced up to the point that the draws wouldn’t open. The rest of the house was clean and well cared for. The games room is a great size and allows plenty of space for play, which all enjoyed. The wet room is large but has no toilet. Security is good, with a working alarm and electric shutter on the patio door at pool level. The cinema room DVD player was not working “No disc nor was the TV via the IP TV box. This was very disappointing for the children. The listing states in two places that there is a hot tub. There is no hot tub and the local agents were indifferent when asked where it was. Maid service is advertised in the listing as twice a week and in the owners’ comprehensive details as once a week. We had no maid visits at all during our week. The pool area generally needs some attention and had considerable debris from the surrounding hedges/foliage. The slabs around the pool, particularly on the opposite side to the sun loungers are very uneven, with raised edges around 1cm. The drive has electric gates, however they closed on the car. On checking, the safety beam was not working. Again, this was reported to the local agent

SUPERB!!! Fantastic villa. All rooms and living accommodation were perfect for our family. My teenage kids were made up with the games room and the cinema room on the lower ground floor. The pool and alfresco dining area was just perfect. I have taken my family to villas the last 20 years and I’ve got to say this is right up there if not the best!

We are two families that have taken villa holidays for 10 years and normally in more expensive properties than this so were a little cautious with this last minute booking. Need not have worried; very spacious villa, decent pool area and nice seating outside for evening gatherings. Downstairs basement was great for keenly fought table tennis matches and a fantastic big screen tv room. The villa was the best equippped we have had for crockery, glasses, general kitchen equipment....might seem a small thing but so handy to have proper beer, wine, gin glasses but also plastic stuff for round the pool. We normally hire a car but know Carvoeiro is difficult to park so airport transfer and taxi into town at c€7 a trip was a far more relaxing, convenient and much cheaper option that we would recommend. In terms of evenings, the Sky Bar at Tivoli hotel is very cool place for a rooftop drink or three and Portuqale restaurant in Ferragudo did best chicken and steak dish we have ever had.
