Luxury Villa in Tamarindo: Ocean Views, Fully Staffed, Breakfast & All the Perks You Could Dream Of

Our family of 18 stayed at Compass House to celebrate our parents 60th Anniversary. The house could not have been more perfect! The host was VERY responsive, often within a minutes. The 9 bedrooms with en suite bathrooms worked perfectly and were beautiful, well equiped and had very comfortable beds. The 9th bedroom is a separate entrance without a view, but it worked great for our college aged son. Nothing was spared on this house - awnings and shades perfectly placed if you need to get away from the hot sun. Our house moms made delicious breakfast every day and even did our laundry daily if we wanted. As noted in other reviews, the hill to get to the house is steep and bumpy! If you plan to go into town or the beach multiple times, a car or golf cart is a must! We had 1 car and 4 golf carts and there is plenty of parking at the home to accomodate all 5 vehicles easily. We made homemade pizzas in the outdoor pizza oven and they were delicious. We did 2 excursions - Ziplining booked through the conceirge that included transportation. The drive was only 30-45 minutes and we had a great experience. We also booked our own sunset catamaran cruise 1pm-6pm that departed from Tamarindo beach. Everyone from our 3 year old to our 80 year old parents really enjoyed the boat ride, food, and snorkeling. One final note - be prepared to tip the house moms, grounds staff and concierge at the end of your stay - they send a recommendation email - approx. 10% of your booking fee.

Property was as advertised, you tube videos were spot on. Great views of Tamarindo beach from the pool area, the pool was awesome. Loved the outside area, we had breakfast there every morning. There was a guard at the property in the evenings. The Sonos sound system was nice, the outside grill area was great we used it a few times. Stay Tamarindo concierge service was great, we used them all the time to book excursions, airports pickups, restaurant reservations and also a good source of information about the area. Our House Mom was awesome, she made us breakfast ever morning, cleaned the rooms as needed, provide pool towels, etc. She was great to have around the house and made our stay very welcoming and fun. Compass house was awesome, can't say enough good things, we had 10 folks stay there over the week and they all loved the house and the town of Tamarindo.

We were a party of 9 and had an amazing time at this home. Close driving distance to beach from house but does require an ATV or AWD vehicle to navigate down to the beach or town. Parking was not an issue. Security guard on premise during the evenings. Housekeepers were fantastic and available . Gorgeous infinity pool with hot tub and amazing sunset views each night.

It is a very well thought out and elegant space that comfortably accommodated all 11 of us with plenty of room to spare. We relaxed and dined by the pool, chilled out in the hot tub and gathered around the huge island for drinks and conversation. I can't say enough about the property managers at 5 Star Tamarindo who catered to our every need. Big shout outs to Denisse, Anna, and Natalia for making arrangements for our incredible stay. They also connected us with Chef Fabien Mandrea who cooked 4 delicious dinners for us. Thanks to Cristina who took care of us and made sure we had a relaxing and care free time in Tamarindo. This was a dream vacation that I plan to repeat often.

The swimming pool and jacuzzi are exceptional. We had 5 of our grandchildren ranging in age from 6-9 and it was a perfect setup for all of us; the kids were always visible but not necessarily in the same living space which gave their parents a vacation as well.Our 9 days went much too fast. We loved zip lining, surfing and fishing.

We had 15 people, ranging in ages from 5 to 76, and everyone said it was the best vacation ever. From daily breakfast, spectacular views, nearby beaches and restaurants, we could not ask for more. And the staff did a great job every day.
