Loved the privacy of a beautiful beach down the stairs. Definitely bring your snorkeling equipment, it’s beautiful and lively under water right off the beach. We rented the villa because we wanted to experience the ocean right underneath us, and we enjoyed the sound of the waves and the serenity every day. It’s perfect for an escape, privacy and creativity process. The place is very clean and pleasant. The hosts are super friendly and accommodating.
Had a great stay, the place has everything you need- washer/dryer, kitchen, stable internet to work if needed, air conditioning and gorgeous views over the ocean and a private beach with an outdoor shower on the way back up. The owners and caretaker Mr. Babb were great. I got in super late but he was still there to walk me through the apartment, showed me the ropes locally (restaurants, groceries, etc) and was always a phone call away. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a quiet and scenic getaway
We enjoyed our stay with the situation right on the sea Hugh was helpful and the locals were easy to interact with. We did miss not having the washing machine and the fact there was no BBQ
We had a wonderful time at SeaSpray. The setting is absolutely gorgeous with a spacious outside patio facing the ocean and a small private beach accessed by a walkway from the front door. The Villa was spotless and well furnished with all necessary amenities including a well equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, stereo system, DirectTV, telephone for local calls, fast internet and a hot shower. The property is on the upper northwestern part of the island and as such doesn’t attract the large crowds from the cruise ships or resorts closer to Bridgetown. While regularly scheduled bus service is available to most parts of the island and taxis are ubiquitous, we found that a car rental served our purposes best. SeaSpray makes a car available at a competitive rate without the hassle of a rental agency. The hosts, Linda and Les Warner were top notch. From the initial booking to our final day they did everything possible to ensure a perfect vacation.
Sea Spray Villa was a perfect destination for a recouperative, no stress vacation escape. The direct access to the water was a huge plus, and the short walk to a local market made us completely self sufficient without the need for a car. The Barbadians are the friendliest and welcoming residents of any of the caribbean islands I have visited.
We had a great time at the Villa as it was in a quiet irrespective of the traffic horns which we became used to. The location and access to the ocean was great as was the balcony and the outside shower. The air conditioner in the bedroom was a great touch. The local market and fisherman's stand at Moontown were convenient. The market was well stocked as we shopped there quite a lot, and everyone was very friendly. The bus rides were a wonderful adventure. COVID has had an impact on a lot of the local and semi-local restaurants as they were not open. The Fishpot was booked for all of December; however, the Tides, Jumas, and Pier One were open and excellent. The real treat was Island Plates which has a good menu and was great as with 24 hours notice they will deliver a meal that is hot and excellent. Enjoyed touring the island, Harrison Caves, Rum tasting, etc. It was a very enjoyable trip.
The villa was exactly as described and was a perfect size for the two of us. .The view from the patio and sunsets over the ocean was spectacular for hours. The snorkeling from the shoreline was some of the best I have ever done. The support we received from the owners was second to none. The owners set us up with a transfer to and from the airport . Mr Peter was a excellent guide and resource . The property manager Marcia was always ahead of us for the things we needed during our stay. Thanks to Both of them for making our stay awesome . We rented the car from the owners. this enhanced our touring of the island with no additional fuss of a rental agency. Top notch grades to all. PS. the friendliest safest island we have ever been too. Will be back. J Thompson
We stayed at the lower level of Seaspray Villa for a week. The view from the patio and stairway access to the Caribbean were wonderful. The villa is far north of all the hustle and bustle of the larger towns, with a small but well-stocked grocery store just 3 minutes walk down the road and the Fish Pot fine restaurant 3 minutes walk the other direction. The owners, Les and Linda, and the property manager, Marcia, were exceptional in their communications and helpfulness, making sure everything was right, even during our past-midnight arrival. My wife and I swam frequently from the beach access at the bottom of the stairs (boat shoes required!). The A/C in the bedroom made the nights so comfortable and, with the windows closed, we were shielded from the noise of the heavy morning traffic on the street outside. Most of the taxi vans and trucks speed around the narrow, blind curve honking La Cucaracha or Dixie! The kitchen, living area, bathroom, and patio were perfect for us.
All excellent and right on the waters edge I just hope rising sea level does not wash it away Everything one would wish for and owners car a great benefit Thanks
My husband and I visited Barbados for the first time over New Year and stayed in Sea Breeze Villas. Communication was excellent was the start with the owners and also with Marcia the property manager met and welcomed us on our arrival. We stayed in the lower villa which we loved! Well equipped with everything you would need, well loved and used and the history of the villas within the family was evident. The bed was king size and very comfortable. For us the highlight was the spacious patio overlooking the ocean with fabulous sunset views. We loved watching the local fishermen come and go with their catch and watching the waves which were very large for the first few days but very entertaining to watch and listen! Previous reviews had talked about the little beach at the bottom of the steps and the snorkelling?? we could not imagine even attempting it as the waves were so huge but by mid week the sea was calm and sure enough there is a wonderful little beach and the snorkelling was so fun, we saw lots of different species of fish! We also prefer to be in a quieter location which is exactly this villa, ideally located to drive or catch a bus anywhere but away from the crowds. The little town of Moontown is a few minutes walk away and has a grocery store that sells all the basics and more, a restaurant that also sells food to take away and a bar which was fun to mingle with the locals who are very friendly. We went to the Fish Fry on Thursday night and had a fun fun night, very inexpensive and the fresh fish was cooked in front of us. The Fish Pot is a restaurant a 10 min walk away where we spent New Years Eve, a well known restaurant that serves good food. The menu for New Years was a priced fixed which was disappointing for us as we had hoped to have more local fish but a good meal anyhow. We brought fish a couple of times from a local fisherman in the next town Six Men's Bay and cooked a meal at home which was great after a day out on the beaches. We explored the island and overall had a wonderful week and will come back for sure!
