Luxury House / luxury Villa - Grand baie with private pool, cleaning and Wifi included

We were blown away with the size of the home. Its enormous!!!! The property is truly lovely in every way. Super clean, beds are comfortable, pool and outdoor area are huge and very well equipped to keep the kids busy all day. We stayed in Mauritius for 3 weeks and 4 different properties and this one was a stand out for us. The owner is helpful and her sister is a chef and cooked a lovely meal for us . I recommend a Car to make it easy to get around but the shops are only a 3 min car ride away.

One of the nicest villas I have ever stayed in. It is bigger than the photos suggest and very comfortable. It feels like a real home rather than the usual holiday let. The owners are very helpful as were the cleaner and gardener who visited regularly throughout our stay. The house is a short distance from two of the best beaches in Mauritius and there is a big supermarket just down the road. The pool is larger than usual and the temperature is perfect. Lovely garden with plenty of room for everyone. I would thoroughly recommend the villa and location. Mauritius is a great place for a holiday all year round so you can’t really go wrong. We will certainly be back soon!

Pros: lovely large villa, fantastic pool, Kaly was helpful in getting transport arranged and was very kind to give us a late checkout on our last day which we were very grateful for! Cons: The villa is down a dirt road and it's the only house surrounded by buildings in the process of being built. The walk into Grand Baie is via busy roads with no pavements (took us over half an hour to get there in blistering heat, there may have been a quicker way, but we were apprehensive about getting lost). Taxi costs were expensive, approx. £5 to drive the 5 minutes into Grand Baie (for a taxi for 4). For 6 of us to get back to the villa from Grand Baie in the evening we were charged £12.50. I think once the area is fully developed it'll be a nice location, but it felt out of the way and unsafe to walk on the roads. I did love the villa itself though, the inclusion of the ping pong table was a great touch too.
