Luxury and Comfort in your own tropical resort

My mom, daughter, and I stayed here in December for a girls trip and had a wonderful time. The property is gorgeous with stunning, natural landscaping. The outdoor space was so comfortable that we were just as content spending a day in the pool as we were exploring the beaches and jungles. We saw a few monkeys, toucans and other colorful birds, lots of lizards, and geckos galore. The inside of the house was simply perfect. While larger groups would have plenty of room, it was perfect for our group as we each had our own space to go to when we wanted. Nicolas was very helpful from the time we booked and was always responsive and helpful. He arranged to have groceries at the house when we arrived as it was late at night and gave us the name of a friendly driver, Gilberth, who picked us up from SJO and drove us to the house. If you’re planning a trip and flying into San Jose, I highly recommend hiring Gilberth and renting a car in Uvita, which can be dropped off at the house. Licho is absolutely wonderful and was such a delight at every interaction. He made sure we had everything we needed and that everything was perfect. We had Darling make Casado for us one night and I agree with others who have said it was the best meal of the trip. She made a magical sauce/stew dish that goes over rice that I still dream of. We couldn’t have asked for a better location, so close to everything in Uvita. Los Laurales and Mosaic were spectacular restaurants nearby. We can’t wait to go back!

Amazing house and the care taker of the property was the best

What a wonderful few days at La Libelula! It all began with the welcoming message from Nicolas and the near white-glove service provided by the kind and attentive Licho.The house and grounds are so wonderful! It is a garden paradise. For our family of 8, we had ample room. One might want, as we did, to spend the majority of our time in the many lovely outdoor living spaces, anyhow.We cannot wait to come back!

We had a blast staying here. The property was everything that we imagined. The host did a great job communicating and the couple that manages the property made us feel at home for the 2 weeks that we were there. We enjoyed their recommendations for activities to do in the area as well as their helpfulness coordinating our rental car and even preparing several delicious home-cooked meals for our family. We highly recommend this area and this home for anyone looking for a tropical getaway!

What an amazing stay!! We were supposed to be traveling with 8 but plans changed and there were only 6 of us. The home is stunning and more than enough space for the 6 of us! Licho was available and helpful beforehand and throughout our stay - and Darling cooked us two separate meals that was delicious! Highly recommended setting up dinner with her the night you arrive. The outdoor space is better than even the photographs show - if you can imagine! Our kids loved starting and ending every day in the pool.

We stayed for 9 days (in rainy season) and its was amazing! The house is lovely, comfortable, clean and spacious. Licho (the house manager) is very helpful and friendly. You will not be disappointed! Note: You will definitely need a 4-wheel drive car to get up the hill into the house, as it is very steep.

We had a amazing time at the house and the town of Uvita. Licho and his wife are the onsite managers and they did a great job. Dinner we had them prepare was amazing and always there to help when we needed it. The house was stunning and great views.

My wife, 3 children, and I enjoyed a wonderful stay at La Libélula for 6 nights. We were greeted the first night by the caretaker Licho, who met us in town and showed us the way to the house. We really appreciated this as it was getting dark by the time we arrived. The house is beautiful, spacious, and clean. All of the bedrooms are upstairs, which we liked since we have young children. The outside area is stunning with an enormous pool and multiple areas to relax or enjoy meals. We saw lizards, agouti, white-faced monkeys, and many types of beautiful birds like toucans and macaws during our stay. The house is minutes from Uvita with beautiful beaches, grocery stores, restaurants, a nice brewery, and a wonderful bilingual urgent care center, which we visited when our kids had ear infections from swimming in hot springs earlier in the week. Licho is an outstanding caretaker. He is very warm, welcoming, and helpful. We really felt at home during our stay because of his attention and care. We enjoyed a delicious homemade meal one night made by Licho and his wife Darling. We felt very safe during our stay as the property is gated and Licho’s house is nearby on the property. We only wish that we had more time here- it was hard to leave at the end of our vacation!

The pictures of this property do not do it justice. Most houses have at least one bedroom that nobody wants. That is not the case here. The house is open, stylish and functional. The pool and pool area are top notch. This was our 3rd time to the Uvita area and the best house so far. Licho and his wife were amazing. We would defiantly stay here again.

Our stay was nothing short of extraordinary! We traveled with 2 families of 4 and had more than enough space to never feel crowed. The setup is perfect. This property was truly just like a resort. We were surrounded by beautiful views and plants in every direction. The wildlife kept us all entertained. Monkeys, lizards, macaws, and toucans visited daily which our kids loved. You can’t beat floating in the pool while watching monkeys swing from the trees around you! Licho, the property manager, was so helpful and accommodating in every way. We never want to travel again with our very on Licho lol. We had his wife, Darling, prepare our dinner the first night we arrived and it was so delicious we did it again on our last night. Darling made the best fried chicken we have ever eaten! We had the best time getting to know Licho and Darling and are blessed to call them friends. I highly recommend this property! Honestly it’s like a vacation in itself. You won’t want to leave. We definitely plan to come visit again!!!

We had a wonderful time staying at this property. Views and wildlife were amazing. Easy access and close to town, but so wonderful there is no need to leave. House is huge and pool is very large. Licho is a great host and darling prepared us some excellent dinners, would highly recommend ordering from them at least one night of your stay.
