Luxurious Oceanfront Estate on Vallarta's South Shore, Pool, Jacuzzi, Chef, Maid

We spent a week at Casa Mis Rocas for my daughter’s wedding. We had 17 adults and a baby with us. The house was perfect for our group, everyone had space of their own. The house is huge and really allowed us to be together or to space out as needed. We had so much fun with the pool and the views are so epic from anywhere on the property. The food from Carmen was outstanding, she made us breakfast and dinner each day and it was always delicious. Carmen was so nice and accommodating as well. Jorge the house manager was also super helpful all week. He got whatever we needed and provided us with help on getting around and where to go. We had the wedding on the lower patio and it was such a spectacular setting for the ceremony. Such a special day for my day and all of us. Overall, this was such a wonderful trip and experience for everyone. Some tips if you go. Make sure you have a lot of cash with you. Credit cards don’t always work and it’s hard to get cash near the house. Also, the house is a ways south of the city. We had vans but driving around there is a bit stressful. Taxis and the bus are good options to get around. There is not a lot of options to buy food or supplies near the house. We went to Costco in town but it’s a Trek to get there. Highly recommend visiting the Botanic Gardens which is on 20 min from the house, such a beautiful place and a great restaurant there as well.

After reading some previous reviews I was a little worried about this stay, but it turned out amazing!! Francisco was THE BEST CHEF!! I’m sad that I couldn’t pack him in my suitcase ?. He worked extremely hard and every meal was delicious. The house manager was very helpful, I couldn’t be more pleased with how everything worked out. The indoor jacuzzi was not working during this stay so we were unable to use it, but the pool and outdoor jacuzzi worked great. There were lots of little lizards inside the house. The first 2 nights I was freaked out about it, but by the 3rd night we were use to it. I would definitely come back.

Hard to write this review! I know how great this house could be & I know how the house was while we were there. This house HAS everything, a gym, 2 hot tubs, a heated pool, an amazing cook, amazing views, an elevator, great location, and I could go on and on, BUT, unfortunately, we only got to enjoy a few of those perks. This house was hit by the hurricane in Oct. The house still needs alot of work to get it back to what it could be. The pool was great but heater was broken, the hot tub in the room never worked, the outdoor hot tub worked but no jets, and on the 2nd last day, it stopped heating as well. The faucet on the main level bar was about to fall off. We used that sink the 1st night and the glasses that we used were literally still sitting in the sink when we left. Opened the lower cabinets in the bar, only to smell the most over powering smell of mold, and I've ever smelled. Several missing appliances throughout the house and at the same time, huge refrigerators sitting in the kitchen unplugged, also filled with mold. I also understand that this is an open air house and its extremely hard to keep pest out, but finding a live rat roaming across the kitchen floor set several of the guest running! All that has led me to leave a less than perfect rating. Manager was also hard to communicate with. Just wish we would have know this BEFORE getting there. Owners dont want to invest into this property. Could have called and complained but where are going to go!!

Not as pictured, hurricane damaged that happened 5 weeks prior not taken care of and we were not made aware of the state of the house - broken light poles on the ground and in the bushes, broken table and trash, doors to bedrooms from the outside with locks broke. Many amenities noted were not usable - the outside firepit, the pool not heated, a dirty hot tub, the inside jacuzzi not working, exercise equipment had’t been cleaned including bird poop on the elliptical, bugs and lizards in bedrooms, a house manager hammering in the house while we were there, repair people walking in without being let in, basic maintenance like lightbulbs and cleaning not kept up. Shared feedback with owner and house manger, owner did offer to give us a refund after our first night, but given we would have had to search for and book accommodations for the whole crew that same day while trying to enjoy a vacation, we declined. When I followed up with feedback, videos and pictures to ensure I was being open with the ower that I would be sharing so others don’t have the same experience, he said my pictures and videos were “exaggerated, non sensible, and irrelevant” and he wasn’t interested in my “games to renegotiate my rental price”. I never asked for compensation and wouldn’t. Trust me - there are much better options.

I was not impressed. Bad experiences Many of the key selling points didn't work. The upstairs jacuzzi didn't work, the lights kept going out so one person being stuck on the elevator stopped the other ones from using it. The amout of time the lights was off varies. It would be nice to invest in a back up generator or solar panel. The amount of money it cost to rent this property this should be a must. Only had a chance to use the pool once on the first day the insects took over. It was to many and impossible to keep them out the pool. The house needs some upkeep from normal usages. Good experiences The chef Francisco is awesome and very experience. Ever meal was excellent. Every view is beautiful from each room. I didn't give this house a 5 star because many of the prior comments was still present. The pictures and the description make you think 5 stars. We had the assessment peoples at the house with our personal belongings...taking pictures while we was out and about and another 1.5 hours after we returned they was still present. Now i see how the pictures are stage so awesome. Please invest in backup for power outages, upkeep, maintenance and a good exterminator. I been renting with VRBO for over 10 years and this is my firt time not having a 5 star experience. However if you invest in this property it could be a 5 star.

This is an amazing property. There is not a bad view from any room. The house manager was helpful, and the cleaning staff did a great job. Fransisco was far and above the best feature of the house! He was open to any suggestions for meals and everything was always excellent. He was always quick with a snack too! You won't be disappointed with this property.

Francisco made the stay absolutely unforgettable. His cooking, attention to detail, and warm personality were very appreciated. Highly recommend eating in over going out while in this home!

Our group of 14 just had our 2nd stay at Casa Mis Rocas. This Villa is absolutely amazing. Jorge the house manger is very professional and accommodating. Francisco the chef is worth the price of the rental. This Villa is perfect and we will be back for our 3rd time in 2024!

It was a beautiful property and the staff was amazing. It is a little distance from town which we were not expecting but we loved how quite and peaceful it was. Jorge was top notch and easy to communicate with. I strongly recommend using the Chef. He was great and very affordable. We are planning on returning next year

The only venue imaginable where 19 people encompassing 7 families can stay under one roof for seven days and have an excellent time ALL SEVEN DAYS! The key to that success was the size of the home and what the home had to offer. But, more importantly, Francisco the chef was phenomenal along with a housekeeper with an astute eye for cleanliness, and Jorge's guidance to execute our excursion requests was top-notch, including transportation back to the airport. We definitely recommend this location to anyone looking for a good time in PV!
