We have rented villas in the summer in Italy for many summer holidays for over 20 years and this was the best one yet. It is a beautiful villa with fantastic views. The villa is built to very high specifications, is exceptionally well equipped, with fantastic outdoor space and a beautifully landscaped garden. The salt water pool is sizeable and gets the sun for most of the day. The online listing is clear on the steep drive approach so renters should not be surprised or complain about this. We will definitely be renting this one again.
Excellent 5 star property. The listing is extremely accurate but doesn’t show just how beautiful the villa and surrounding area is. There are 3 excellent restaurants in the neighbouring villages, Da Sandrino being our favourite- fabulous pasta and steak. Valter who manages the property was incredibly helpful and friendly. Our hire car got a flat tyre and the next day he drove us and the wheel to the repair garage and arranged for the puncture to be fixed. The swimming pool is incredible, huge for a private villa. The children could make as much noise as they liked as there are no close by neighbours. The steep entrance driveway takes a bit of getting used to, we had a large SUV which was challenging on the narrow local roads. A small Fiat Panda (like the locals) is ideal.
This property is truly amazing. The house is beautifully designed with a huge living room and open kitchen, big bedrooms and a wonderful master bathroom. All the furniture, kitchen and bathroom equipment are modern and in perfect shape. The grounds around the house are fantastically beautiful with stunnign views on the hills and neighbouring villages, almost surreal. So you could say this is the perfect holiday venue and it is. The only small downside is that it is somewhat remote from tourist spots like Lucca (45 min) and the driveway up to the house best suits a 4x4.
We stayed for 2 weeks and had an amazing time. The property was even more lovely than the pictures can show. Spacious garden with a fabulous pool and the villa was beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. Can't rave enough about it. The location is remote and we found we drove everywhere but that wasn't an issue for us and the scenery is stunning. Some comments mention the steep driveway and it is steep but what you get at the top is worth it.
Many times we have rented accommodation that ticks boxes for what you need in a holiday let. But we have never felt like we have been invited to stay in a place that feels like you have come home in the first 5 minutes. This house is a True Labour of Love. If you want a restful retreat away from a world you want to leave behind for a while, a place that’s simply paradise in every direction you look, a place that’s true to its location and yet modern and very comfortable, then you have found it. Sitting in the shaded terrace with a gentle breeze from the surrounding hills wafting through, your eyes will stare at paradise in every direction! Simply beautiful. A real feeling of peace. Sure the road to the place is challenging and sometimes you feel you would like to have more amenities close by, but then that’s one reason why you feel like it’s a true escape. Great supermarkets in Pescia for all you needs - and if you have never been, Lucca is an easy drive from Pescia. Lovely Tuscan walled city. A great week in a very special place!
We had a wonderfull wonderfull vacation, in this beautyfull house in the hills of Tuscany. The pictures will not justify the fantastic view. The kids and I would love to come back, and enjoy the beautyfull garden, lovely swimmingpool and a totally relaxed week. All the best here from Denmark ;)
Fabulous views of hillside villages from this beautifully renovated villa. Traditional and comfortable furnishings and fully equipped kitchen. The professionally landscaped pool and gardens provide privacy and shade. This was by far the nicest rental we have ever stayed in, and the hairy access road was worth it! Check out Da Sandrino, and Da Carla in Sorana, as well as Mereno bistro in Vellano. All excellent and friendly restaurants serving local specialities. Train to Florence from Pescia is just over one hour and costs 12 Euros each way. Book entry tickets to the Accademia and Uffizi via TripAdvisor to avoid lines.
On arrival when we were greeted very warmly by Valter, Antonella and Ingrid and made to feel so welcome. The house is truly amazing, it does not feel in any way like a rental property and if it was a hotel it would be 5*. All the furniture and fixtures and fittings are of the highest quality and comfort, the sofa is cream/white that tells you how unlike a rental property this is! It feels as if we were welcomed into their own home, albeit a luxury one! The villa and the extensive garden/grounds were spotlessly clean and maintained to the highest standard. You could never tire of looking at the view from the villa. This was a perfect week in a perfect property, thank you for everything. Grazie Mille
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Villa. It is beautifully appointed, and ideal for 6 or 7 people. The reception areas, both inside and out work well. The kitchen and major bathroom are beautifully appointed. The top floor ensuite bathroom is very small but works effectively. The gardens and pool are fantastic as are the views. The drive up to the villa is a little challenging, but that is more in the 'mind' that in reality. Overall we had a fantastic holiday.
This home is far beyond the pictures... it is incredible! We were a group of 5 and there was more than ample space throughout, easily would accommodate 8. The pool is massive and the views are stunning. Lot's of outdoor seating areas throughout the property. The kitchen is a dream and very well equipped. We ate every single meal al fresco on the covered terrace. I think I will be booking this place again for next summer, this time for 2 weeks!
