La Serra - Modern greenhouse on lake Como

We had a fabulous time! The hot tub and views were a highlight. Beds are queen size for Americans. Showers were pretty small and the kitchen lacked in proper lighting if you plan on cooking dinner or an evening meal. We will definitely be staying here again! Such a beautiful area and location on the lake!

Shhhhh, don’t tell anyone but La Serra is amazing. The location in Urio couldn’t be better, 25 minutes to Como or the many wonderful villages north like Lenno, Tramazzo etc. The villa is modern and overall well appointed. A few more basics would be helpful ie dishwasher tablets but when I mentioned to Nicola, they magically showed up the next day. Upstairs bedroom has spectacular lake views, smaller bathroom, downstairs has very good views and bigger bath and shower. The dining room chairs are currently like bean bag sacks and the owners seem inclined to replace them with regular chairs. Beds are very comfortable and suffice linens. Outside dining area is fantastic with Electra roof and side transparent shades for keeping bugs out or using the A-C outside. Hot tub is small but a very nice extra. Overall this is a special property for 5 days or longer and we hope to return. Heaven on earth!

Property was true to it's VRBO listing; scenic, well equipped for 4 travelers and convenient to other LakeComo attractions. Walks can be a bit risky given theauto traffic and lack of pedestrian pathways throughthe area, but still enjoyable.

La Serra is a beautiful property, set in amazing gardens and with views to die for. It’s special to be so close to the lake and have a patio and garden to enjoy the views from. Nicola is a fantastic host and went out of his way to help with bookings and recommendations, even calling a restaurant to assist with a difficult booking. One of the showers was damaged when we arrived and he attended the property immediately to arrange repairs. He was very genuine and friendly and provided us with lots great information about the area. We loved our stay.

This was a really great property which was exactly as described. The home was clean, beds were extremely comfortable and the view was spectacular! The host was very attentive to our questions and needs. He was a pleasure dealing with. Two things to note are that while there is a washer, there is no separate dryer. Also, the location requires some extra planning for transportation. We had a great time here!

I had a fantastic time in La Serra with my family. The accommodation was in a beautiful location and the villa was at a very high standard with excellent views over the lake. This is a great location to explore the lake and I would be happy to recommend La Serra to anyone who wanted to explore the area.

We loved our 3 nights at La Serra. The accommodations fit our family of four well. I liked staying in carate Urio , proximity & access to the lake, short walk to ferry, markets & restaurants. Nicola was an amazing host, quick to communicate from reservations to check out. The hot tub was a nice way to relax after touring on the lake. The place was so enjoyable that we stayed in & cooked many meals so we could enjoy the outdoor covered dining table & sitting area. I highly recommend staying here!

This was an amazing, modern place on Lake Como with ample outdoor space to enjoy the views. Close proximity to the ferries and several restaurants, cafes, bistros. Great communication with the property manager - I really hope to stay here again!
