Independent villa rental surrounded by greenery

We chose this house in Sardinia for a week of peace and relaxation after a very busy week in Naples. However this is not what we got. Villetta Corubo is a delightful one storey house decorated and finished to a high standard with a lovely terrace that we would have given a 5 star rating. Unfortunately it was spoiled considerably by a very active construction site immediately in front of the terrace, only separated by a narrow lane. The lovely view of the sea was taken away by a shabby caravan, orange site netting and the partly constructed building with 5 or 6 construction workers working on the same level as the terrace. We could not relax with privacy. The work was noisy and there were diesel fumes from the digger and cement mixer. When the 2 storey apartment block is completed it will obscure a lot of the view and cast a shadow over the house and terrace. A real pity!Barbara is a friendly and helpful owner and clearly the disruption is not her fault. However we were very disappointed we were not warned of the disruption before we arrived despite having booked the house many months in advance.

We have had such a brilliant stay at Barbara’s villa. Everything was perfect and she had made sure we had everything we needed. The location was idyllic with beautiful views. The villa was exceptionally clean and very comfortable. The air conditioning was a welcome bonus. We look forward to returning soon.

The host very nice and helpful. Great location with a very nice terrace and also quiet, but quick at the seaside and shopping possibilities.

We loved this property. The architectural details are beautiful but the setting and views stole the show. We cooked in one night and the kitchen was clean and well-organized. We enjoyed the front patio, outdoor shower, and the clothes line for wet suits after time at the beach (bring beach towels). It was quiet, relaxing, and close enough for us to comfortably walk to the beach, supermarket and town center. We dined and relaxed on the patio and slept comfortably with the bedroom AC unit. Wish we could have stayed longer.

We enjoyed our stay here. It was a charming little house. The patio was especially nice to relax on after a hot day on the beach and the outdoor shower was a bonus.

This house is full of charme like we expect it according to the photos. It is nestled in a very quiet area but very close to shops and different beaches. The beautiful terrace surrounded and a lot of green by old trees giving the precious shade and fantastic atmosphere. The house is very well equipped and very clean. The barbecue is also great. The host Barbara is very kind and helpful. We spend almost 2 weeks in this beautiful oasis. Margot & Andy
