(Text automatically translated) The house is located in a geographical area of unquestionable charm: the green Umbrian hills filled with forests of oak, holm oak and chestnut trees. It seems to be immersed in an enchanted world where silence and the colors are the setting for each season. The purity of the air and the quiet of the woods in a few days ago to find that serenity and balance that too often hectic city life makes us miss.

The property was exactly as described and met our needs perfectly. With bedrooms on several levels and doors at the bottom of the stairs give individuals the chance to sleep while others (2 year old) might be up and chatty. The VRBO is located in a tiny village 20 minute's from Orvieto and the local's were fun to interact with.

The host was amazing! So kind and accommodating. He made special arrangements for a traditional meal from the Umbria region and brought it to us. It was fabulous! Would highly recommend staying here for someone who wants to explore the area.

The house is clean, comfortable, and charming, and the little town of Prodo is beautiful and pleasant. I was traveling with adults ranging from 29-69 plus two preteen children, and we all had a wonderful time. The little shop in Prodo has coffee, freshly made pastries, cold drinks, and a couple of very limited household items, plus pasta and pasta sauce. If you go in the summer, be prepared for mosquitoes, but that's true just about anywhere. We loved it there! We all want to go back! My sister suggested trying to rent it out every Christmas in perpetuity. Highly recommend if you like a place where you can be removed from the tourist bustle but still drive to all the sights.

So 1st off the homeowner is great and the place is wonderful. But it's way off the beaten path and the roads are very hilly and a little scary to drive. We had teenagers and they were so bored. For adults who like wine it's a good fit. Also it's 4 levels so all stairs. There is one bedroom on the first level that my mother liked. If Europe was not having a heat wave it would have felt much more comfortable but it was very hot and no fans. So for us not such a good fit but if you want remote wine country it's perfect and it sleep a lot of people. Amazing views and countryside.

This house is beautiful and has everything needed for a quiet stay not too far from Orvieto. The store in the square is wonderful and so are all of the people. Four families were very comfortable in the house and the owners are great to work with. This was well beyond our expectations and worth every Euro!

Umbria is a fantastically lovely country and much less expensive than the Tuscany. We were in love with Orvieto, fascinated with Civita Borgnario and found Todi charming. From Prodo (although a beautiful but curvy road to get there) all the major hill towns were less than an hour and a half. Montepulciano is one of my all time favorites. Florence and Rome are less than 2 hours by car and an easy trip by train from Orvieto. Cortona was about an hour from Prodo going the back roads through Perugia. Lovely, picturesque country, friendly, helpful people. .

Roberto’s house in Prodo was the highlight of our family trip to Italy. We’re a group of 13, traveling from Colombia & USA. The house was spaceous & beautiful & the morning coffee at Franco’s store was memorable. Roberto set up a dinner at the house, by Chef Gian Piero, who was amazing!! The aged prosciuto, carved on site, the roasted pork roll, and the amatricians pasta were delicious. A very special dinner in a very special & warm setting. We did day trips to Orvieto & Todi, and arriving at the Prodo house for a relax evening was just perfect!! We’ll forever remember Prodo, Roberto, Gian Pero & Franco!! Prodo is a wonderful, very small town up in the hills of Umbria not far (in distance) from Ovietto or Purergia- and only a ittle more than an hour train ride from Rome or Florence. BUT! It is a world apart from all the traffic and commotion of those big cities. The house was very peaceful, and comfortable, and the owners were very welcoming and helpful. BUT! It was the little village and the people who live there that made our trip the most unforgettable trip we've ever taken! Words can not describe the feeling of waking up to look out the window at beautiful rolling hills and freshly plowed black earth surrounded by trees just bearing their autumn colors, and hearing absolutely no noise- just peacefulness. Then walking 'two doors down' to the tiny cafe/bar where the owner made us delicious espresso and saved a crescent for us every morning. He came outside and set it down on a table that he would pull into the middle of the tiny village road under the morning sun, and we would watch as the villagers would come and buy an apple or a loaf of bread or a box of pasta- always stopping to say hello and happliy chatting about the village news. We were fortunate enough to be there on the day that 'Wild Boar Hunting Season' began. It was like watching a beautiful film as the hunters drove up to the village with their hunting dogs in tow. And all the villages gathered round to hear what had happened to them each day- and then try excitedly to repeat it to us. We were there for only 3 weeks, and we speak very little Italian, but we made some very good friends. (One, Angelo, even brought us his special pasta (twice), and stayed to have dinner with us! He even brought his sister one time, And it was absolutly wonderful!) Another time, a little boy, Ricardo. was visiting his 'Nonno,' and of course, they stopped at the cafe. Ricardo was 4, and he spoke no English, yet he sat and 'talked' to me for over a half hour! I could go on and on about the village and the people who lived there, but words could never convey the feeling that little Prodo left us with. I've been home now for a couple of weeks, and life here is just as chaotic as when we left. I try to find time each day to sit and close my eyes and go back to the peace and quiet of Prodo- if only in mind. I would recommend this house to anyone who wants to really relax and go back to a time when computers and phones weren't as important as everyday life with your neighbors and friends.

Casa Prodo Relax was a lovely large house with 6 big bedrooms, a games room and a large basement kitchen opening into a small back garden. It was very clean and all linens etc were provided. The owner was very helpful and when the toilet went wrong we reported it to the owner and it was fixed the same day. The village was quiet with a little cafe / shop and the villagers were really friendly. We had 4 cars between us and were all able to park next to the house. Prodo is halway between Orvieto and Todi, each was about 20 mins drive down really bendy roads. It was a great location (as long as you have a car) as we went out everyday - there is loads to do in Orvieto and although it is a tourist destination it is much nicer and less crowded that Florence or Siena. There is also a big supermarket in Orvieto near the station. We were a group of 17 - all various family members and we all managed to fit into the house very well. The children loved the games room and there were enough bathrooms to go around. There is a covered outside area with tables and chairs - not huge but big enough to sit outside and enjoy the very good view. There is a nearby grotto with pools in which you can swim (20 mins hard walking but worth the effort) we also went swimming in Lake Bolsena which was 20 mins the other side of Orvieto. We had a great holiday and would definitely recommend the property.
