Stayed May 23, 2024This home is perfect in location, rural farm environment and hosts. I love that it's located between Rome and Florence at the incredible town of Orvieto. It's a quiet farm away from tourist hustle but close to a lot of sights to see. The hosts are fantastic people that I like to think of as friends who are extremely supportve, helpful and communicative; even to sharing their produce and eggs for tha 'fresh from the farm' ambiance. This was our second stay and we'll be back. Thank you Alessandra and Pierluigi.

Stayed Jul 18, 2023We definitely recommend booking this accommodation. It is clean, air conditioned (important in Italian summer), surrounded by a wonderful countryside and a great spot for starting trips to Orvieto, Rome and other cities in Umbria and Toscany. Our hosts Gigi and Alessandra were very kind and it was like being among friends.

Stayed Oct 2, 2022We cannot say enough good things about our stay at Allisandra and Pierluigi's property. The location was perfect being so close to Orvieto, local markets and the A1. The apartment has been lovingly restored on their family owned property and has all of the modern conveniences. We enjoyed having lunch on the lovely patio just outside our front door, but Orvieto is so close, a 5 min. drive and you can be in town for a meal as well. Allisandra, Luigi and their son Giovanni were always there to help with any questions and they are the warmest and most friendly hosts we have ever met. Their property is very beautiful with many fruit and olive trees, grape vines and gardens. We hope to be able to return and enjoy their wonderful hospitality. This is the perfect place to stay in Orvieto. Thank you Allisandra , Luigi and Giovanna from the bottom of our hearts for our wonderful stay.

Stayed Oct 11, 2018I travelled to Orvieto with my Uncle for a week's stay. This small country house was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the sunshine. Alessandra and Pierluigi are the most welcoming hosts. We enjoyed their gifts of fresh eggs and fresh vegetables daily. The house is clean, cozy and spacious. It is possible to walk to Orvieto center if you are ok with hills. This is a perfect location. I can't wait to go back!!

Stayed Oct 6, 2018This beautiful house was charming and chic and cozy all at once. The beds were not super comfortable, but everything else was perfection. This home was impeccably clean and had everything we needed and more. Be sure to ask how to open the screens on the windows because you won't be able to figure it out on your own! Would love to come back and stay here for a month sometime. Orvieto is a magical town and there could be no better place from which to explore it.

Stayed Aug 18, 2018Where do you start when something is this good? The house is an attractive semi detached converted farmhouse in the owner's picturesque smallholding on the outskirts of the small town of Orvieto. This is quite simply one of the best places we've ever stayed in and we really didn’t want to leave and come home. The house is good looking from outside, but the inside is truly special. This was Alessandra’s and Pierluigi’s family home before they built and moved into the adjacent property which is also on the smallholding, and the love and care that has been put into the place shows. It is a beautiful home and was a privilege to stay here. Alessandra and Pierluigi are fantastic hosts who are warm, friendly, welcoming and a fountain of knowledge of things to see and do, they could not have been more helpful. Add to that the wonderful welcoming touches such as fresh eggs from their free range chickens, fruit and vegetables grown on site, a simple selection of cooking ingredients in stock like salt, pepper, olive oil and herbs, some pasta and a jar of Alessandra’s wonderful homemade tomato sauce and we felt right at home straight away. As a base to explore the region, this is superbly placed but note you do need a car to make the most of it as there are many local towns worth visiting. The main car park for Orvieto, the railway station, the local supermarkets, and the autostrada if heading further afield, are all with in 5 to 10 minutes drive. Situated on the southern border of Umbria, it is easy to explore this region and that of Tuscany to the north, or to visit Rome which we did by train for a day trip. We did have a day out to the seaside as well which took about an hour and a half to get to so it is doable. This place is superb for families of all ages. It is also ideal for couples who want to explore the region, irrespective of the time of year. We certainly intend to come back to this wonderful place. Grazie mille, Alessandra e Pierluigi!

Stayed Jul 9, 2017We could not have been happier with this farm house and Orvieto as our home base. Allesandra and Perluigi were the perfect hosts, bringing us fresh eggs, fruit and jam and allowing us free range of the farm and its bounty. It really exceeded our expectations, which were already high based on previous reviews. Under any circumstances, this is a wonderful home, but with a 3-year old it was perfect. He loved eating tomatoes off the vine, driving the tractor and checking on the chickens. We could be in town in quickly for a meal or shopping, but also easily drive to any number of charming hilltop or lake beach towns in under an hour. We hope to return soon.
