Homerez - Charming Villa with Private Pool in Lamego

Appreciated all the space, both inside and out - particularly all ensuite bathrooms and a choice of terrace, pool or balcony. Very well equipped home and beautifully furnished. Pool and area were lovely to spend time in and around. Great views over town and river. Shops and restaurants close by across the bridge, though traffic could be busy. Be careful with tricky access to and from the road and also when driving (or walking) up the slope to the house. But a lovely place to spend a week, definitely.

We enjoyed the space of the house, both inside and out, as well as all ensuite bathrooms. It was clean, well equipped and had fantastic views across the river and town. Many options to enjoy sitting - terrace, balcony or pool. Pool was excellent and a lovely area to sit in. Access to and from the road was a little tricky, as was the drive (or walk) up the slope to reach the house. Plenty of shops and restaurants across the river, though traffic could be quite busy. Overall, a lovely week in a good location.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week stay. We spent our time out on the porch overlooking the river whenever we were home. We had a wonderful dinner outside under the trees at our hosts B&B.

The house is excellent, fantastic views and it was very well situated for our needs. The photos do not do the house justice and it is much nicer than the photos suggest. The pool is much needed as the temperatures are very high in the area in the summer months and the house is not air conditioned but fans are provided to help. However, the cooker is old and the ignition no longer works and none of us was prepared to light the oven with a match! Also, there was no sign of an iron and ironing board which to us was essential as we were attending a wedding in the area! There is no washing machine either. The house is within easy walking distance of Pesu do Regua with plenty of choice of bars and restaurants and shops if you prefer to cook.
