Holiday Home Sciacca

Absolutely loved our stay here. Perfect size for a family of 4. The outdoor seating was very comfortable. We really only came inside to sleep. Three AC units that worked great as it was definitely hot while we were there. Lovely shower, kitchen and the beds were pretty comfortable. Loved that there was only 1 or two other homes along the path to the beach and that we could park right at the house. The landscaping was pretty with flowers and a lime tree. Our favorite part was the beach. The sand was gorgeous and not overly crowded. In fact, we went down at sunset twice and had the beach completely to ourselves. We also opted to dine in twice as we were so relaxed and were happy to hang out at the house. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing beach stay in this area.

This beautiful beach house is in a beautiful part of Sicily—close enough to Sciacca for groceries and services, but at the same time, with the feel of a remote corner of the island. Easy travel to Menfi, Agrigento, and Saliunte, this is the perfect location to explore southwestern Sicily. Everything in the house works well, and the place is immaculate.

The property is clean, beautiful, steps away from the beach. Restaurants, stores, and sightseeing are within driving distance. Unfortunately, there were miscommunications that should have been avoided. After my booking was accepted, Maria said she had to charge more. I hoped she would honor what she advertised, maybe split the difference. She basically said take it or leave it. We had our hearts set on this property so I agreed to pay extra. The listing is a 3 bed/3 bath. One bath is an outside shower. What’s misleading is, the 3rd bedroom/second bathroom was only included upon request for a separate fee. The listing is in English except, “La depandance è disponibile per un numero di persone comprese da 5 a 6 o su richiesta ad un prezzo extra da concordare al momento della prenotazione.” Translated: “The outbuilding is available for between 5 and 6 people or upon request at an extra price to be agreed at the time of booking.” We were 4 people. 2 with health conditions requiring frequent/long use of a toilet. I begged Maria to use the second bathroom. She reluctantly agreed to allow us access the next day. There were only 5 coffee pods, no paper towels/napkins and when running low on toilet paper I asked if there was more. She responded, “I only provide what is necessary.” 1-1/2 rolls of toilet paper for 4 people for 3 days? The other bathroom Maria cleaned that morning had NO toilet paper. The home is beautiful/in a perfect location but go to the store before arrival.

Perfecto! Spend a week or summer, it's impossible not to enjoy this charming property situated a few steps away from a beautiful beach and a short drive to Sciacca. Exceptionally well equipped kitchen, good sized bedrooms with high quality mattresses, etc etc. Wifi worked well. Outdoor area with chairs, chaises, etc was a great bonus. The best feature was the outdoor shower. You'll want to stay forever. Host Madalena was extremely helpful.

The house and the garden are clean and comfortable, the host, Maria, is nice and accommodating; the reality fits the pictures; the nearby beach (some 100 m walk and a stairway) was unexpectedly uncrowded in the second decade of September; all in all, a pleasant experience, if you bear with Sicily`s warm weather and it`s particular approach to hygiene, traffic, any rule or regulation at all.

Our host Maria welcomed us to this new and clean small beach house. Furniture outside and inside were well maintained, the kitchen was almost new and the shower was great. Wifi holds up for Zoom calls as well (LTE) and Sciacca is inky 15 minutes away by car. One small improvement: 2-3 nice kitchen knives would be great.
