Highland villa near downtown and military base.

Needs more updates and cleaned up was like staying in a unfinished remodeled house

Please check before entering. Several bugs I have seend, guys came and applied pesticides. All things were clean but old. House was old so bugs are inevitable.

Everything was as advertised and we had a comfortable stay! Great proximity to downtown as well as the airport and train station.

Very fun place to throw events, however,, there is no locks on the bedrooms.

The owner contacted me as we were headed there. He stated there was a leak at the property we were scheduled at. Not to worry though he has a back up location for us to stay. The place was clearly the family home. There were 2 rooms instead of three. The location was near the venue, so we stayed. The morning, I heard movement in the kitchen and was made a bit uncomfortable. So an earlier than expected departure was in order. Overall, just not what was expected.

Easy to communicate with owner before renting.

The home was very clean and comfortable. Very comfortable beds, plenty of towels and washcloths provided, even for a large family of 8, such as we are. The host communicated very, very well and was very responsive to any questions/comments we had. The washer and dryer and all kitchen appliances are later models and work very well. We enjoyed the spaciousness of the home. It did not feel crowded at all, even with our large family. I loved the character of the older home, but definitely enjoyed all of the upgrades the home had been given to make the stay more comfortable and convenient. It was less than 10 min to downtown, HEB , Target, eating places, etc. We definitely enjoyed our stay and will return in the future if the opportunity arises.

Review is for another house since the rental listed wasn't available. Place is quiet, clean, & spacious. Its near the river walk. Sometimes you can hear the train but didn't bother us. Host was nice & easy to talk to. We would stay again.
