Southtown is just south of downtown right near the King William District, with S. Alamo running through the heart of the district. This is where you can experience the 'puro' San Antonio - where all the best local restaurants, bars, and things to do can be found! This place gets rockin’ during the First Friday of the month, where everyone comes out to see local artists, drink beer, and listen to live music. Be sure to stop by over at The Friendly Spot for some beers, Bar America for some cocktails, and chips and salsa over at Rosarios!



Riverwalk access is a few steps, passing beautiful historic homes to the entrance to the Riverwalk hike and bike trails and canoe /kayak access point.



Visiting San Antonio during Fiesta You'll be steps away from King William Fair, Fiesta Fiesta, Gartenfest, NIOSA, and the parade route.



Getting Around:

A 15 minute drive from the airport. This area is very pedestrian friendly and boasts easy access to multiple bike share stations and the San Antonio bus system Viva route.

    A lovely neighborhood with ability to walk to restaurants. Facilities were spotless and well supplied. All entry and closing directions simple to understand and process. Plenty of space in the condo and parking.

    Our first night, found a leak under the kitchen sink. We put a pan underneath the sink plumber came out, then left to purchase and replaced the garbage disposer during our first breakfast there. There is a bad odor (mold) in the laundry closet upstairs in 103. The water filter on the refrigerator in 103 needs to be replaced or re-set.103 has two lovely armchairs. When I saw them on the website, it closed the deal for me. I was so disappointed with how threaded bare these chairs were. Certain times of day, it was shocking to see the condition of the chairs. Found a child’s toy under a cushion. I knew check in is 4:00. A day or two before checking in, I had asked if it were at all possible to check in between 2:30-3:00. I was told that I would be notified as soon as they finished. So, I texted my customer service rep and told her it is my understanding that… and asked if she could please text or call when the units were clean. She replied, “Of course”. I never heard back from her after she replied “of course” until the next day. When she asked me if we could remove the vehicle from our assignment gravel space because there was going to be work on the driveway, we were asked to please move out vehicle or use the garage or the street. Our vehicles would not fit in the garage, so we parked down the street. There was no work ever done. The Welcome noticed had the wrong passwords. Mold appears to be the starting in the Master Bathroom Shower in 104. I've photos to photos to share.

    There were 16 of us for birthday parties. This was by far the best VRBO we have rented. The kitchen is very well stocked with cooking supplies. They have extra TP, paper towels, dish soap, trash bags. They even had toothpaste and toothbrushes and a razor. They also had chips and salsa when we arrived and seltzer water in the fridge. Several restaurants and bars a block away. And only a mile from the river walk. Would highly recommend this property.

    We came with 14 adults for a retreat and it was a perfect location for needing to go to the conference center! Super safe neighborhood and we didn’t hear any noise at night like some of the reviews stated. It had a lot of personality and would totally come back if I needed to!!

    The 2 almost identical properties were perfect for our group of 12, adults in one, kids in the other. Great location, lots within walking distance. Garage parking is very tight, would recommend parking on the street.
