Group & Family House Galant Curaçao

My group of seven adult men stayed here for a week in May. The open-air design provides incredible ocean views and a nice breeze, but it also comes with significant downsides. A bird had built a nest inside the kitchen stairwell, resulting in bird droppings throughout parts of the house. The common areas also became very hot during the day since they cannot really be cooled, and opening the blinds/windows at night brought in large numbers of mosquitoes because there are no window screens. Even after buying bug spray, candles, and foggers, getting bitten was unavoidable.The Wi-Fi was also extremely weak outside of the dining area, making streaming on the second-floor television very difficult. This seems like something that could be improved with signal extenders.More concerning, one member of our group found a mouse in his bedroom after it chewed through unopened food. He ultimately chose to leave the villa and book a hotel at his own expense. In addition, one bedroom’s air conditioning unit never worked during our stay despite the property manager arranging a repair attempt.Overall, the villa has stunning views and a unique atmosphere, but guests should understand that this property feels much more like luxury outdoor living than a traditional enclosed home. If you are comfortable dealing with heat, insects, and wildlife in exchange for the scenery, this may still be a good fit for you.

Was perfect for our big group! Olga is phenomenal, such a good host. She made our group of 13 a three course dinner one night; delish! The views are stunning. Rooms are spacious and perfect! Will definitely stay here again when we come back! So impressed!

The views were incredible and the large pool was a highlight for the kids. Bedrooms were large and individual bathrooms for each bedroom make traveling with multiple families a breeze. We loved our stay and hope to be back!

Walking into this breathtaking estate with it beautiful sunset view was incredible and all we hoped for in our booking.

Cannot recommend this home enough!! We had the most wonderful week!! Beautiful house, well kept, LOCATION!!. Views were out of this world. We loved being in the central part of the island with easy access to all of the beaches and activities. We enjoyed having access to the resort for restaurants, pizza and coffee. The only issue we had was the construction going on next door. The workers were very loud throughout the entire week - drilling, trucks, and conversation. We were warned of this ahead of time and provided late check out and an extra cleaning. We understand this is completely out of the home owner's ability to change!As mentioned many times in other reviews - Olga is an absolute GEM! She cooks, cleans and even grocery shops! She went WAY over and above for us - my son was sick and I asked her to recommend an urgent care option for him since it was late. I knew he needed an antibiotic since his symptoms were in line with the last time he had strep throat. The only option at that time was the hospital and after a very frustrating 4 hours, they refused to test him or provide the medication. Olga checked in with us in the morning to see how he was and when she heard the experience we had she came to the house, picked us up, drove us to her personal doctor, waited while we were seen, drove us to the pharmacy to get the prescription and drove us home. If she wasn't there I don't know what we would have done. She single handedly saved my son and our vacation!

We loved the house and the location. The sunsets are unmatched. Olga, the property manager, was wonderful and made our stay perfect. One of us fell ill and she helped us find a doctor the same day and saved our day. The house has everything you could need. If we ever went back to the island, we would most certainly stay here again!Would strongly recommend bringing bug spray!

We had a wonderful stay with our children and grandchildren. There were 11 of us total. There is PLENTY of space for everyone. We cooked breakfast and dinner in the kitchen and it was great. There is a grill with a lovely space to eat outside as well. The pool was a huge hit with everyone!! Short distance to many stunningly beautiful beaches!!

Our stay was wonderful. The island has so many things to do. We took an ATV trip, went to Williamstad at night to see the bridge all lite up. At the end of the day the pool called to us. Having a few drinks in the pool. Who could ask for more

Place was great for the 12 of us. Olga was great and was easy to communicate with. Location was super. Lots to do and would come back with a large group. Lots of room for everyone to move around. It’s the place to be for a large group.

Our family enjoyed this house with the amazing ocean views! We had 10 people consisting of two sets of grandparents, me and my husband, and then four young adults (ages 16-21). We had five bedrooms opened up for us (selecting the ocean facing options) and everyone had plenty of space to spread out.For anyone traveling in December, don't be scared by the rainy season. For us, that meant one night of storms from midnight - 3 am and literally a few splashes of raindrops one day while we were in the ocean.However, be aware that the mosquitos are bad during rainy season on the island. Listen when Olga says to close up the bedroom windows at a certain time (or just leave them closed). We only ran the AC in the rooms from about 8 pm until we woke up and the electric bill wasn't too substantial.Speaking of Olga, she was great! She provided our initial tour and was also readily available if we had questions and responded very quickly.The kitchen area is bigger than it looks in the pictures. There are two refrigerators - one is just for produce, the other has the typical freezer/fridge set up.Several beaches are within a short drive and having the pool just steps from your rooms is amazing.Favorite excursions included:Private boat outing for 5 with ZUP board and Wakeboarding thru Trip and Treat and a Sunset cruise for everyone on a Catamaran Yacht through All Boat Charters.This was a wonderful vacation home to spend a relaxing week with family!

The view from the house was breathtaking and could be seen from every room in the house. The house could accommodate a large crowd, bedrooms were large and comfortable.. You could have quiet time if you wanted to. Olga was very helpful and easy to relate to. All enquiries/concerns were answered promptlyOur only wish was that the windows had screens so that we could leave the windows open to enjoy the breeze and not eaten by the mosquitoes.We highly recommend the house and Olga who made the holiday more enjoyable
