Grande Villa au Calme Coeur des Mathes

Wonderful property, area, excellent communication and check in, a really 100% lovely stay. Beaches fantastic and had a lovely time. Property was beautiful and just what we needed.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and felt that the house worked really well for everyone, including teens, grandparents and our dog. Communication with Valerie was very easy and we were met on arrival and shown round. The house has an extremely well equipped kitchen and the utility room with extra fridge was useful. The pool and large outdoor space are fantastic, well equipped and the garden is completely enclosed so great for our dog. Les Mathes is quite quiet but has an excellent food festival every Friday in Summer. We particularly liked the food markets and Praline & Bergamot patisserie in Tremblade, well worth a visit. Overall a great chilled out holiday and exactly what we needed!

We had a great week. The communication beforehand and the welcoming and helpful reception by Valerie were excellent. The house and garden are beautiful and fully equipped. Everything was there for a lovely holiday, for all ages. We certainly hope to come back again!

We have recently returned from a Two week stay at this beautiful property and all I can say is Wow! We stayed as a family of 12 with our children, Grandchildren, a couple of family friends, and 2 dogs. From the moment I made my first enquiry about the property, up until the end of our holiday, communication from the owner Monsieur Prunier was excellent. He was very quick in responding to any queries or questions I had, usually within the hour. On arrival we were met by Valerie, who explained everything and showed us around. The house was immaculate and the little touches of name tags on the towels, and flowers on arrival was lovely. The two dogs with us even had name tags on the dogs bowls. Two of our party had birthdays during our stay, and birthday cards were left for them from the owner. The kitchen was very well equipped with every utensil and appliance you could ever need. The best part for us was the amazing outdoor area and the pool, where we spent most of the time during the extremely hot weather. There was plenty for the children in our party to do, whether it was the pool with the supply of inflatables, or the wide selection of toys and games available for them to use. The bedrooms were spacious and had fans if needed for hot weather. We had a 10 month old baby in our party and the property was well equipped for babies, including travel cot, high chair, baby towels and bath toys. Other reviews have mentioned the other property in the grounds and the caravan park next door. The other property did share the driveway with us, but was totally separate and this wasn’t an issue for us. We also never heard any noise from the caravan park. The property is located in a very quiet area on the outskirts of the village of Les Mathes. You certainly need a car or bikes to get to the beach or the buzz of La Palmyre, but again this didn’t bother us as we enjoyed the tranquility of its location. There are a number of supermarkets which we used in the village of Arvert, which is only approximately a 5 minute drive. Overall, we loved this spacious property, we did have high expectations, and we weren’t disappointed. We would all certainly recommend a stay here.

Great place to stay with family and friends. Nice, clean and well-equipped with entertainment for both kids and adults incl. the private pool - ideal for a cozy vacation in private quiet surroundings. Highly recommendable and really enjoyed our stay

We stayed at this house for the 3rd time this summer and again it was perfect. The house is so well equipped that it makes for very easy living. The children keep themselves entertained all day with the facilities and games which lets the adults relax completely. The house is also very very clean and super pet friendly. It’s about a 5-10 minute drive to everything so a great location as well. We couldn’t recommend this house more.

The house is spacious, tasteful and homely, the pool has the perfect temperature, the hosts are very nice, helpful and responsive. The pictures are a true reflection of reality. The location allows nice bike rides to one of the most beautiful coasts I have seen in Europe. I can only recommend the place. We did have a great holiday. Thank you! Stephan, Sonia and kids...

There are no words to express how much we've enjoyed our stay at La Garden. First of all we had a warm welcome by the owners who are very kind and extra attentive to details, then we discovered the house which is even prettier than in pictures, it has all the facilities you can possibly imagine, everything was thought through and the couch next to the pool is just heaven on earth. The interiors are designed with taste and super functional and comfortable. We were 10 friends travelling to celebrate our last year of University and also be able to relax and study for some final exams, and the house allowed us to do both. We keep amazing memories for this week. Thank you M et Mme Prunier for your hospitality and your wonderful house. We will most definetely come back! Tamara, Manu and company :)
