Father's House Beach House

We are just back from 2 glorious weeks at Paolo's property in Meco. Honestly, everything was perfect for us. The house itself was well-presented and well-equipped, spacious, and had everything we needed. We especially loved the outside areas. The pool was a bit chilly (we were offered the option to heat it prior to arrival which we didn't take) but a decent size and we made use of it pretty much every day. Communication with Paolo was very easy (via Whatsapp), he sent us all the information we could possibly need ahead of our stay and checked in on us during our stay to make sure everything was ok. Ideal for what we like - totally unobtrusive but available if we needed anything. We have visited Portugal lots of times before but never this area. We absolutely loved exploring the towns and villages of the Serra da Arrabida and of course the stunning beaches. We hired a car but Ubers are also readily available in the area and super cheap. The specific location within Aldeia do Meco was great - walkable (via road) to the plethora of bars/restaurants in the village centre.We had a lovely time (we really REALLY didn't want to leave!) and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Casa do Pai (Fathers House) - Obrigada Paolo :)

We had a great week at this lovely house. The pool is brilliant - a good length and well maintained. We also loved the outside sofas under the awning - it was great to have a decent amount of shade and make the most of the outside space. Paulo was a helpful and responsive host and access to the property was really easy. Thank you!

Such a great property for the family. Toys for our 3yr old and trampoline and play frame. The pool was wonderful - recommend heating it. Beach is quite a walk and very steep we didnt tackle it but lovely beach 5min drive away.Paulo was great and very easy to contact during our stay.

We took our 6 year old for a trip to Portugal for a week and loved our stay here. It had a great play area for kids and the heated pool was lovely (extra charge applies for it to be heated but was totally worth it). The house was pleasant, had parking and well located for trips around the penisular. The kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed using the gas bbq in the evenings. Host was helpful and sorted out anything when requested. Good communication all round.

It was our second time staying there, we love the location and the property itself.

Beautiful complete house with a very friendly and helpfull host

We had a wonderful stay in Father’s House Beach House. The house was very clean and modern with a lovely pool & garden. It was the perfect place to relax. We walked through the forest to the beach every day. Steep climb but worth it. Huge, mainly deserted beach which was really picturesque with amazing sunsets. It’s also possible to walk to the village where there are some nice cafes and restaurants. Contact with the host was really good. He sent lots of info prior to check-in & checked on us while we were there to ensure it was all going well. Would love to go back again! Highly recommended for a relaxing week of peace & quiet in nature.

We stayed in the Pai Beach House for 2 weeks during August Summer holiday (family of 4), On arrival the Beach House did not disappoint, we were met by Paulo who showed us around and answered any questions we may of had about the house and surrounding area, he was also easily contactable if any queries arose. The house was very well equipped with all mod-cons you would expect and there was a lovely eating area for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The outdoor area was lovely and relaxing including a great pool. The house is located in a quiet area with a local campsite in walking distance (1 minute) where you could purchase fresh bread daily and any small grocery items if required, main supermarkets were a 15 minute commute by car. There were 5-6 restaurants in the village which we tried a number of and were all great (2 minutes by car), there was also a great Pizzeria walking distance from the house (our favorite of all). There is a beach that is walking distance from the house (15 minute walk) and 2 other very close by car, one 2 minute drive and the other 5 minute drive. The house was located 30 minutes from Lisbon so we managed to incorporate and enjoy some nice trips into Lisbon to mix the beach holiday with City life also. Would recommend a stay to anyone.

A beautiful house with top notch facilities in a great part of Portugal with nearby beaches a good local restaurants (large portions!) Very friendly and helpful owner who was on hand with advice about anything needed. An easy drive/commute into Lisbon. Would certainly stay here again.

Really enjoyed our stay at Pai Beach House, property is lovely, well organised and equipped. We came with two kids, great place for them, little playground in the garden, nice swimming pool. Enjoyed a lot of barbecues. Quite and peaceful area, very close different beaches, good restaurants few minutes drive. Amazing food!!! Very picturesque area!!!
