Stayed May 24, 2025Excellent property, met all our needs (though air con in the bedrooms would be great!). Host was always on call, pool was lovely!

Stayed Aug 5, 2024Good points: cleanliness, kitchen very well equipped, outdoor furniture, pool, quiet location, close to local bar and Tavira. Jonny and Angie could not have done more before and during our stay to ensure all was well. Cleaner/maid very efficient. Other points: Access over unmade roads tricky with a low suspension car. All lighting, especially external was inadequate - once natural light goes, you can’t see to eat or read.

Stayed Jun 14, 2024The villa had everything that we needed. The pool is a nice size, with sun loungers and a shaded area for the midday sun. Very good communication from the management team meant that we had a very relaxing stay.

Stayed Sep 5, 2023The villa was simple, spacious and provided all that we needed. The pool was perfect for a cooling swim. We opted for a rural location and got it. There were plenty of interesting places to visit on day trips from the villa but it was a lovely quiet place to relax in at the the end of the day.

Stayed Jul 3, 2023From the moment we arrived to the time we departed, we felt completely looked after by the wonderful team at Jacaranda. The house was perfect for us. Quiet location (you definitely need a car), beautiful view out towards the coast and lots of space inside and out. We spent very lazy, long days by the pool, reading, eating and drinking amidst the heat of the Algarve's July heat. When we wanted something a little different we tipped into the car to drive to a couple of the local beaches - around 15 mins drive away. Beaches are fantastic! Beautifully sandy, and so much space! It might be due to the time of year we holidayed (beg of July) but it was beautifully spacious and a very relaxing experience! One thing to mention - as we were not told this until we arrived (or if it was in the detail we didn't read it properly!) they do not recommend lighting BBQ's in the months of July and August due to the incredibly dry landscape around the house this time of year and dangers of fires. Totally fair enough. We were a bit disappointed when we were first told this news but actually it didn't effect our holiday experience in the slightest. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking in and tbh in the heat we mostly made salads! We experienced a little glitch with the water system in the house - but all super professionally managed by Angie and her team and sorted out incredibly quickly. An amazing holiday - planning next year's already!!

Stayed Sep 2, 2022Great villa, with lots of outdoor spaces for eating, sitting or relaxing by the pool. The property is in a rural location but still very well situated to visit Tavira, Fuseta and the local beaches. There's also a train which runs the from east to west Algarve which can be picked up at Luz, which is about a 15 minute drive. Check in/out went smoothly and any problems were quickly solved by Angie from Jacaranda Holidays. I would highly recommend.

Stayed Aug 16, 2022We've just returned from 2 weeks in Casa Katerina (Aug 2022) and would recommend this villa to anyone wanting a peaceful self catering holiday away from crowds with a lovely pool. The villa has everything you need for a self catering holiday (we used all appliances except the washing machine). It could be a little cramped for 6 adults if you couldn't use the outside area, but perfect for a family of 6. The pool was used every day by all of us (2 adults plus 13 and 9 year old children) and is a good size and was well maintained. It's not suitable for very young children as the shallow end is 1.4 metres and the deep end is 2 metres however perfect for older children. The villa really is in the middle of nowhere (which suited us) with no bars/restaurants/shops within walking distance so a car is essential. There's nothing in Santo Estêvão however Tavira is only a 10 minute drive with loads of restaurants/bars and a shopping mall with a Continente supermarcardo. VRS Antonio and Monte Gordo also have loads of eateries which are around 20 mins away. We've been coming to the Algarve for many years and would highly recommend this location. We spend a lot of time over the border in Spain as well as travelling west towards Albufueria and Vilamoura. Tavira is beautiful and set on a river and well worth a visit. Monte Gordo has lovely places to eat along the beach front and VRS Antonio also has a large selection of restaurants. If you travel over the bridge into Spain, Ayamonte is a lovely town and the beach at Isla Canela is really lovely (around a 30 minute drive). We also recommend the beach at Praia da Falésia. I can't fault the villa or the location. The host was really helpful regarding check in and check out letting us stay later in the villa due to a late flight home. The only advice I can offer for anyone booking would be to bring freezer bags to seal food in once opened otherwise the ants will get in!
