Stayed Apr 4, 2025The house is large and well placed in the back end of the property as the nearest street is rather trafficked. House and garden is well kept but not new. Nice rooms an two bath rooms. Sharing well kept not modern. Host was nice but English language was not so good so communication was not easy. As to the kitchen facilities and goods, are all there - but not optimal as under supplied by electricity. Eg. oven (grill) and stove at same time will blow the fuses… annoying when cooking. A set of of cooking knives would also be welcomed. As we visited in April the house was cold and needed som more heat prior to arrival.

Stayed Mar 21, 2024Multi day stay for different family and friend combinations. Perfect set up Close enough to walk to the walled city of Lucca, easy access to bus system, and secure place to park our large vehicle. Three supermarkets close by. Good base for day trips to Florence and Pisa.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969A beautiful house with good location. Only 20 min. walk from Lucca's old town. The house was nice and very clean. The Parenti family was very helpful. We can highly recommend the house and the city of Lucca. Fam. Hansen, Denmark.

Stayed Aug 5, 2018We really enjoyed our stay in Villa Parenti. It is a great base to enjoy Lucca, Pisa, Florence and the coast. The accommodation was very clean and Riccardo and his family were very friendly and on hand if there were any issues. I do not have any real criticism about the property but only a suggestion to help the improve future stays of your clients. I would suggest that you introduce some air conditioning down stairs to allow your clients an escape from the heat without disappearing to the bedrooms. But apart from that everything was great.

Stayed Jul 7, 2018A great place to stay, the grounds were beautiful with loads of outdoor seating. The above ground pool was a big plus in the hot weather & 5 children. When you travel from the other side of the world a few staples would have been a nice touch. The greatest disappointment was not been able to use pizza oven or bbq as none was provided. The owner suggest coal from market accross the street & wood a 3 km car trip away. We were unable to purchase the wood. The pictures showed timber for oven and a roaring fire. The feature of the pizza oven was my main reason for booking the site. PLEASE don’t get the garbage breakup of materials wrong.

Stayed May 30, 2018After we (seven students) took our high school finals we stayed in this villa in Lucca and we had an amazing holiday! When we arrived we were welcomed by mr Parenti's parents and they gave us a home tour. They were very kind and provided us with everything we needed. The house and the pool were even bigger than we thought they would be (according to the photos) so there was plenty room for everyone. The bedrooms were big and very comfortable and the bathrooms were very clean. The weather was amazing so we spent a lot of time outside, from breakfast till late at night. There was a big table where we had ate and played a lot of games. The pool was lovely and very clean. Trees and the covered terrace provided plenty shadow so being outside was very relax! We didn't have a car but it wasn't a problem because the grocery store and the bus stop were literally across the street. Tickets for both the bus (1.20EUR at a coffeeshop) and the train (3.50EUR) were very cheap, compared to Dutch standards. We traveled to Pisa and the beach at Viareggio by public transport and it is very well organised. Walking to the center of Lucca was very easy as well, it took us about 20-25 minutes. Maybe you could consider placing mosquito screens on the first floor bedroom windows because we all got bitten a lot at night but I think that was the only negative experience we have had the entire week. Thank you for the lovely stay, we had a great week!
