Family-Friendly Palmetto Dunes Retreat | Walk to Beach & Pool

Turtle tracks was convenient to the beach and pool. It was easy to ride our bikes to the beach. The condo was beautiful

The property was just as listed. Its location was ideal for an event we were attending and the proximity to the beach, golf and pickle ball was perfect for the family. The place was super clean and the beds were very comfortable. Have stayed in Palmetto Dunes before and would definitely come back.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unit did not live up to expectations. Several major issues. shower did not have a grab bar for safety. Sliding door very heavy and difficult to use. Drain apparently is partially plugged, water did not drain nearly as well as it should have. Unit was cold all the time no matter how high the temperature was adjusted. Management gave us a space heater, but it was on a timer so you had to keep turning it on time after time. Bed in master suite was very comfortable, but way too high for my wife to access. Management gave us a small stepstool, which helped somewhat but every day it was still a struggle. I don’t know how a bed this high could be good for anyone. Carpentry repairs to the unit are very amateurish. The floor, which looks relatively new was damaged in many places. The outside deck probably would be lovely in the heat of the summer but this time of year there wasn’t one ray of sunshine at any time of the day to be enjoyed. Live TV remote didn’t work and streaming is a complete pain in the *** for a senior. Not user-friendly at all. The yes, no question at the end of the review cannot be easily answered because for a younger couple or someone without a disability might be just fine.

We have always enjoyed our time in Palmetto Dunes. Our family had a great experience at this home - perfect for a family of four, plenty of space. The management company Island Time was very responsive if we needed anything.
