Casa Tatum, designed by one of Santa Fe's most respected architects, John Gaw Meem, reflects his Pueblo Revival architecture for which he is so well-known. The simple elegance of white plaster against the earthen adobe created the canvas for the authenticity of an excellent renovation.

John Gaw Meem, had the foresight to put in place the design regulation for the city of Santa Fe which dictates the city landscape of today.

Our stay at Casa Tatum was absolutely perfect. The property is beautifully appointed—comfortable, quiet, and full of thoughtful touches. We even had the magical experience of seeing deer wandering through the grounds, which made the setting feel truly special. Some of the highlights of our trip included an exceptional dinner at Escondido, a fabulous brunch at Mama's, and discovering some very cool Western wear at HBar C. And above all, Caroline is the most gracious hostess—welcoming, attentive, and dedicated to making every detail of the stay exceptional. Casa Tatum is a gem, and we look forward to returning!

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Tatum. The property is beautiful, with a lovely courtyard and nice, fenced yard for wandering around. The bedrooms and bathrooms are very nice, as are the linens and towels, and the kitchen is cozy but very functional and well equipped.Caroline was very helpful getting us checked in and showing us around the property. We didn't end up needing to contact her for anything during our stay, but I'm sure she would have been very responsive. All around a lovely stay.

Casa Tatum was everything it was advertised as and more. Fully stocked, impeccably clean, and so peaceful given the surroundings and decor. Will definitely be back!

The stay was excellent our one wish is that there should be a large armoire to the right of the entrance door so that coats and boots could be stored nicely. The dining table was our dumping place. Our gang likes organization. Ten Thousand waves is always a favorite and hiking the Dale Ball trails are great fun.

The house was beautiful with gorgeous furnishings and a kitchen with quality pans and pots and almost everything you might need. We all appreciated that. There is limited counter space. The views were terrific and while we couldn’t use the outside spaces they were amazing. This is a truly a classic adobe which we appreciated. While this house was advertised as pet friendly it really isn’t. Our small non-shedding service dog was accepted. We all wished that there was an armoire inside the front door, it was inconvenient to have jackets and coats and shoes and boots organized. It was important to have the vacuum available. We have been coming to Santa Fe at least twice a year for 20 years, and this is the nicest place in which we have ever stayed.

For a change, we thought it would be nice to stay out of town. It was the country life that appealed to us and living in the John Gaw Meem house lent a unique authenticity. It was the best idea we ever had. It was an experience that showed us a different side of Santa Fe. We are forever grateful that Caroline mentioned this house. We are already planning our next trip back. Thank you .
