BELLEFONTAINE, Bellefontaine
Come stay, on the heights of Bellefontaine, in a magnificent villa for 2 people with clean lines where space, comfort rub shoulders with an exceptional view, on the peaks of Carbet and the Caribbean Sea.
In a green setting as far as the eye can see and ventilated, you will aspire in complete privacy to moments of calm and tranquility by the pool.
With our experience with the villa Halona reference 685786, Couleur Manguier has grown and offers you a set of 3 new luxury villas.
They were built in such a way that each has their privacy and tranquility.
Lovely garden and stunning views. Practical house that is very comfortable. Little pool that is great for cooling down. Very private even though there are other houses on the property. The road from Bellefontaine, even though it is steep, is no problem at all. We drove a Citroën C1 automatic. Automatic gear is recomended! We would definately come back and recommend CouleurManguier.com
We stayed here for 16 nights in Nov/Dec and thoroughly enjoyed the accomodations. The house is about 90 minutes to 2 hours from the nicer beaches on the south end of the island, so having a private pool at our disposal was wonderful. It does take about 10-12 minutes to reach the house once you turn off the main road, and it is uphill all the way! However, that just made the views all the more breathtaking. (Also, having a car with above average ground clearance is helpful as well.) Our host was very helpful and responded to inquiries quickly, as well as providing suggestions for where we could procure several items that we forgot to pack. We would enthusiastically recommend this home; it was absolutely beautiful and relaxing!
Beautiful situated and modern one bedroom property.
We loved this property and the location, especially the fresh air at this height, comparing to the humidity below. The house is very private, though there are couple of other buildings around. The pets gave us lot of smiles, the cat always welcomed us back and the donkeys gave nice visits behind the fence. The property itself has everything needed and is very cozy with comfy bed and perfectly working air conditioner. The grill worked great and we had nice time cooking the fresh fish bought directly from the fishermen down at the village. Bellefontaine village is small, though quite interesting, once you get to know it. The hosts made us very welcome and were extremely helpful and kind. Thank you very much, especially helping us in a moment of need!
Amazing views, privacy. Great property.
Charles-Henry and Johanna have created a mountain top villa compound that includes multiple bedroom options for your holiday needs. Each house is built with the same contemporary, functional (yet also comfortable) and ascetically pleasing methods and inclusions. The thoughtfulness in what they make available is obvious not only from the beginning with the generous stash of staples (food and of course rhum components!), but also as the days progress you discover all of the handy items needed as your holiday proceeds (think clothes pins, bin for washing swim ware, detergent). I also appreciate that they do not clutter the environment with unnecessary objects - the vibe at Kalinda was so relaxing. Special mention ~ we were visiting during Christmas and Johanna even had a lighted tree for our enjoyment! The 3 main villas share a parking area but, most importantly, they are all situated in a private manner (including the pools). The views never ceased to amaze me and I especially loved looking up at the stars during the night from bed. An odd treat was watching the cruise ships come in early in the am and depart with their lights in the evening. The Christmas winds lived up to their reputation and I was enthralled with seeing fireflies in the expanse just below the grassy area. While the physical aspects of Kalinda are important ~ I would say the graciousness and helpfulness of the hosts are what sets the Ericher’s villas apart from the rest. Charles-Henry helped us in a pinch within our first 5 minutes of meeting one another (will never forget your kindness CH!). They also made reservations at Le Petibonum (a must visit) and made a helpful advance call for us. They are an exceptional couple and will continue to be highly successful in this venture. I can say, with confidence and experience, that a stay at Kalinda (or their other options) would be a spot on choice for a private villa holiday. I am so happy to have started the vacation from this location and explored the entire northern portion of Martinique. As others have mentioned, beware that the draw of the villa will make it hard to leave-but also such a joy when you return each day! Crucial basic: our go to bakery was Epi Sante in Le Carbet - they create an outstanding selection and are such a pleasure to see every day. I missed the ladies when we moved to the South. Thank you Charles-Henry & Johanna for a remarkable first visit to Martinique. We loved Bellefontaine!
Charles-Henri and Johanna were more than welcoming when we arrived, providing us a snack and rum. The house was super clean. And what a sexy bathroom and shower! We found it hard to leave every day, even to go exploring. Much better to sit on our platform above the world.
We loved, loved this house - it was perfect for us. We loved being up high and having such a wonderful panoramic view. The house is new, clean, spacious and efficient. We never used the living room at all but lived on the patio with it's comfortable furniture and spectacular view. The bathroom is fabulous. We loved the house so much that we only ate dinner out twice. After a long day of hiking, swimming, exploring all we wanted was to end the day on our patio, feet up and tall rum drinks in hand, and then cook wonderful food bought at local markets. Paradise. Johanna and Charles-Henry couldn't be more charming or accommodating - wonderful hosts. We will be back.
The pictures show in each and every way what you can expect, if you arrive at this beautiful place. Once arrived at a later hour at the day, we had the fridge filled with some welcomes for dinner and the breakfast next morning. Villa Kalinda was a beautiful little house for two people, to enjoy a great stay. The kitchen was fully equipped for dinner, lunch and breakfast. The view is amazing, combining the caribian sea with the piton of Cabet. The contact with Charles-Henry was always easy and friendly at every point! We would definetly recommend this bungalow for every stay on Martinique, either for active parts like hiking the Montagne Pelee, beaching on the beach of Cabet or visiting the rum distilleries around. We had simply a perfect time and will definetly come back to Bellefontaine! Thanks Charles-Henry for this lovely place!!! Tina & Alex
