Three generations of my family were treated to the best possible experience in one incredible villa in one incredible location, with the best team of people taking care of us the whole time. I highly recommend Doubloon to any family looking for an authentic and relaxing travel experience in Jamaica.

Arrived on the coat tails of hurricane Rafael 2 hours late and a 3 hour drive due to heavy rain Staff stayed, great welcome meal and warm friendly smiles. Every meal was spectacular, and we asked for local type meals. Rooms and bathrooms were fantastic and spotless and kept that way. Hio and Nadine were brilliant. Robert kept outside clean and the pool and landscaping were excellent. The beach was almost private except for locals and the warm ocean was easy to swim in or just bob around. Boat ride to Black River was easy and a quick stop at Pelican bar. Great decompress 8 days with friends and locals who became friends. Short walk to Lashings for iced drinks and Pizza and also to Dougies bar and a swim off the pier. 5 stars is not a high enough grade for the staff, owner, location,Treasure tours staff or Pedro our driver who kept us safe to and from the airport - 8 out of 5 stars

Wow! What an absolute treasure of a find in Treasure Beach! Everything about this home was just what we were looking for! Convenient location, right on the beach - love hearing those waves at night- lots of outdoor space with and without shade, a beautiful pool, and friendly staff- Haio , Nadine, and Robert- we can’t thank you enough! This amazing team took care of us like we were part of their own family and we are incredibly thankful for them and our time at Doubloon! We are already talking about our next visit! We had the perfect Christmas week at Doubloon. The beach was wonderful and warm. The villa was clean and comfortable. The staff were amazing cooks and attended to our every need. We even had a Jamaican flair Christmas tree. Treasure Tours were great managers and the property owner was cordial and check in on us.

Dubloon is fantastic if you want to be at a swimming beach in under 60 seconds. Highlights: *Calabash Bay - a great part of Treasure Beach with some things to do. Be sure to check out P&H Juice Bar! *Property is comfortable and homey - all four bedrooms are good. Of particular note is the outdoor spaces - a lot of shade which is necessary! Pool is beautiful, no floaties are provided. Beautiful grounds with gorgeous flowers and fruits. Guests have their own refrigerator to store leftovers, drinks and food which helps with not interrupting the kitchen flow. *The staff, Hio and Nadine cooked great food; and Robert the caretaker who is also an accomplished artist and woodworker. Definitely check out his amazing works! Challenges: *Mosquitos! While windows have screens there is no netting on beds. Dubloon could do more to prevent mosquitos from getting in after dark, and management could provide more methods of repelling them. *Riptide - currents around Dubloon (and all of the South Coast) can be strong and the beach was not always safe to swim. *Less than homey aspects to property: big exit signs over doors, fire extinguishers mounted on bedroom walls, plastic placards that say 'thank you for not smoking'; no sound system/stereo on property; TV room has no ceiling fan and gets quite hot on warm nights.

Judy, your oceanfront property was absolutely amazing! My husband and his guests absolutely loved it. Hilo, Nadine, and Robert made us feel like family the minute we arrived and it continued the duration of our stay. The food was delicious and Hilo and Nadine cooked all our favorite Jamaican dishes. ? Robert, kept the property secured 24/7 and shared the local fruit growing on the property to showcase natural sweetness locally picked produce. Everything was 5 star and pray we have the opportunity to come again. Pros _ beach unlike other houses on cliffs overlooking ocean -location -one-story ranch house - great views from every room -close proximity to restaurants and Jakes Driftwood Spa -towels changed daily after breakfast -great staff Judy, the owner, answered all my questions theoughly and in a timely manner Cons - distance from Montego Bay( worth the 2.5 hours drive) Mosquitoes ( bring your bug spray) Jamaican's like their currency over US dollar. Items are cheaper in Jamaican money then US dollar so be prepared for price difference. I recommend using XE currency app limited ATM machines Recommend Tours Black River/ Pelican Bar boat tours YS Falls ( I recommend doing the Chakka Zip line too) Appleton Rum Estate Lover's Leap *Please email Treasure Tour directly regarding prices because the quoted prices in the binder found in the house are outdated. -

According to my husband, sitting outside looking out at the shoreline felt like sitting inside of a Cezanne painting! The house was beautiful and the household team were thoughtful and attentive— and fun to talk to. The only thing I’d want travelers to know is that it’s a 2.5 hr drive from the airport as it can be slow going over the mountains. Treasure Beach isn’t a tourist town— it’s a sweet fishing village. Having said that, we had a great time and will never forget it!

We had such a great time! Beautiful gardens with lots of hummingbirds, and lovely soft sand on the beach. In the water it was not rocky and not much seaweed, and hardly saw anyone at all on the beach, which was a nice change from some other places on the island. The food was great, Hio took such wonderful care of us! I can’t wait to tell my family about the villa and hopefully we can all come visit again!
