Viareggio,
Historic villa overlooking Viareggio's famous promenade full of stores, restaurants and clubs that host the nightlife.
The beach and bathing establishments are located in front of the villa.
The two-story property can comfortably accommodate eight people.
On the ground floor, the entrance opens directly with a view of the "secret garden," a cool, breezy space with palm trees, creepers, blooms, and water features, surrounded by loggias that describe a veritable cloister. Also on the ground floor is a high-ceilinged living room with a dining table that overlooks the seaside paths and garden. In addition, here we find an attached kitchen and living room and a marble bathroom with shower and washing machine.
The large marble staircase leads to the upper floor that houses the sleeping area, consisting of four large double bedrooms. Two of them enjoy sea views (one also has a balcony from which to appreciate wonderful sunsets), the other two overlook the secret garden.
One of the two garden-view rooms has a granite bathroom with tub and a comfortable boudoir. Two other bathrooms, one in marble with tub and the other in granite with shower, serve the other rooms.
If you cater to the American market and say you have AC, it needs to be top-notch. I’m a delicate flower when it comes to heat and the front bedroom with the balcony is lacking a unit that actually cools properly. The couch and love seat in the living room needs a serious update, preferably something that will support the weight of a human when the lean on the arm wrest. While a great location and beautiful property, I would not stay here again. Too many do/don’t for my own sanity when vacationing.
