Delray Beach Villa, Snowbird Special; Golf, Beach, Nightlife!

Peace, serenity and relaxation!!! It was my good fortune this comfortable villa unexpectedly became available to me toward the end of a long hard winter!  The house was exactly as described and Delray was so much fun. Although my visit was brief, the calming and healing effects of this vacation were enormous!   Many thanks to the owners for helping me orchestrate all the logistics to make this visit to Delray Beach a reality. I certainly hope to come back again.

We left Ohio, looking forward to a few months stay in the sunshine state. Imagine our surprise to find this rental unit dirty coupled with an odd musty, smokey, mold like smell in the air through out the unit. We could not have been more disappointed. Determined to make this work, my husband and I spent four days cleaning and disinfecting the unit room by room and cleaning all the sheets and towels. We still could not get rid of the musty odor. Next we called Stanley Steamer and had the carpets cleaned. Two times the carpet cleaners moved a piece of furniture it revealed the skeletal remains of a small Gecko lizard. Yuck! We contacted the owners, to inform them we were leaving the unit. We did not ask for a refund for the remaining time on the lease, but was informed “we signed a contract!” Well we did sign a contract, but our expectation was that the unit would be clean, free of musty mold smells and without the carcasses of dead animals. We suggest you pass on this unit when searching for the perfect Florida get-a-way, because this place isn’t. Sent from my iPhone

As we near the end of our stay, we shall leave with great memories of a wonderful time here. With a 3-month stay, generally one needs to bring lots of stuff , therefore we were delighted to see that this villa has lots of space, great storage, and is exactly as described in the write-up. We so appreciated the proximity to the clubhouse and pool, the 2 bicycles left for our use, extra lawn/beach chairs, BBQ and back patio furniture etc. We made good use of the book lending library at the clubhouse and enjoyed many lazy afternoons reading. The kitchen is well appointed with relatively new appliances and lots of dishes, utensils, etc. A special treat for us was the Bose I pod player, DVD, cable TVs and WiFi for our computer. The owners were always very accommodating, helpful and genuinely concerned that we did not want for anything. During our stay, the air conditioning unit broke down and the owners acted very quickly to remedy the situation and had a new unit installed. We enjoyed very comfortable indoor temps the entire time. The unit is state of the art and woks very well! The neighbours were all very friendly, helpful and enjoyable. The villa is centrally located in Delray making it so easy to get to any shopping including the pharmacy, grocery stores, etc.The beach is only a 10 min ride away in the heart of downtown Delray. You'll love the downtown core! It is filled with quaint boutiques, shops and tons of eateries. This was our first visit to the Atlantic side of Florida and we really loved it. We hope to return to the area in the future. We do not hesitate for a minute, to highly recommend this rental to anyone. You won't regret your choice!
