Do you want to take full advantage of the swimming pool whatever the weather, even in mid-season, and without chattering Do you also want to be sure that the little ones will be safe The telescopic shelter guarantees you water at 28 ° on average between April and November and can be locked.
If you prefer dry heat, an infrared sauna equipped with music and light therapy is available upstairs. The villa is large, comfortable, quiet while being 200 meters from the beach. It is classified 5 stars by Clevacances. In front of a courtyard where you can park 5 to 6 cars if necessary, and behind the swimming pool, a tree-filled and enclosed park allows children to play in peace.
Attention, Good People !!! you risk falling in love with the Vendée! (and you would not be the first ...) this disease will manifest itself by an irresistible desire to return the following year, faced with this evidence: It is beautiful and there is so much to see and do .... and in many areas: In History of France, for example, the house of Georges Clemenceau is 150 m. If we agree to make 7 km, we can see the small manor that Agrippa d'Aubigné lived in when he was rector of the Maillezais abbey, I quickly mention Richelieu who was Bishop of Luçon, the underground passages dug during the Norman invasions and then used during the wars of Vendée ... If legends are part of History , be aware that the fairy Mélusine still has her castle in Vouvant, that Belesbat is the name of the city engulfed by the waves just a stone's throw from the house: The attractions of Puy du Fou are often inspired by these pages of Vendée history ...
Much more contemporary, the Vendée Globe has become an event with global repercussions, at least in the field of Sailing: The Vendée has been making boats for a long time and the Beneteau, Lagoon, Jeanneau, Gib'sea shipyards are famous, including at antipodes .. The Vendée, and it is perhaps its most endearing side, it is also the forest, the cycle paths which transform you into explorers because they make you discover improbable places, the beaches, the small ports with their restaurants often specialized in the kitchen of fish, shellfish and crustaceans ...
About restaurant, I discovered, not long ago a small tavern a few kilometers from here, grilled eels and frog legs are delicious .... accompanied by a wine of Mareuil and sound ... of an accordion. The amusement parks like Indian Forest, La Belière, the castle of the Adventurers are close to the house, including the super water park O 'Gliss, the practicable sports in the department are numerous, the sliding is represented there under almost all its forms, the Bud Bud spot at 10 kms is very well known by surfers and there are kite surfing and sailing schools nearby. In the port of Bourgenay, 15 kms away, you can embark, if you feel like it for a day of fishing, you can also rent boats, visit the aquarium, follow the Corniche which will inevitably take you to Sables D ' Olonne where there is so much to see and do that I prefer to leave it to you to start with the tip that suits you best. On the other hand, if you cross this famous channel through which the Vendée Globe boats exit (and return), you will be in the village of La Chaume, the fishermen's village, renowned for its party atmosphere, its bistros which drain many nights summer visitors but also locals to the sound of the gypsy guitars of Nico and his friends. Further on, it is Saint Gilles Croix de Vie, another picturesque port from which one can often see one of the jewels of the Vendée, the Ile d'Yeu, so beautiful that it cannot be told: it feels like a flower which exhales its perfume, it is tasted like a delicacy, it is traveled on foot or by bike, slowly, to make the pleasure last ...
The Vendée of the interior which is called the bocage also deserves a detour, if only for the magnificent villages of Vouvant and Mervent, formerly frequented by the Fairy -serpent (Mélusine) and now by many painters attracted by the beauty of the place, or to take a boat trip on the canals of Green Venice… I don't have enough room to tell you the little that I think I know but I have a certainty: I know that I am seriously affected by the illness I mentioned above …….
Possibility of gypsy jazz evenings, depending on availability (It is advisable to make your request as soon as possible)

This is a lovely big house. Very comfortable for our group of 8. This kids absolutely loved the pool. They were a bit put off by the salty water in the pool but soon got used to it. The cover, although didn’t look very attractive was very very useful. It kept the pool warm overnight, kept the bugs out of the water but most useful was the fact you could slide each section independently so we just opened one section during the day and left the others over the pool which provided much needed shelter from the sun. The only negative about the outside was the fact it was very tight on space around the pool. There are walls surrounding the pool which work well to keep leaves and soil out of the pool but it made space quite limited and shady places to sit were limited. It would be great to knock these walls down and open up the garden beyond. The garden behind the wall was lovely and big but totally separate from the house and pool and with kids we needed to stay by the pool. Sitting outside in the evening we had very limited space and shade and only the view of the pool shelter. Looking out into the garden would have been much nicer. The inside of the property was lovely, beds hard but comfortable and the kitchen nice and big but the oven was very noisy. Think it might not last that long. The beach was just a 5 minute walk away (turn right and right and you’re there). There were 2 lovely food places right on the beach and the kids had some great days on the lovely sandy beach.

Would recommend for a family stay as a good beach within walking distance, a large covered swimming pool, the roof could be pulled open. ( some minor issues with the pool did not stop it being used every day of our stay)Plenty of space to move around in the property and a large grassy area to the rear of the property. Pierre was a good host and endeavoured to fix a few problems we encountered as soon as possible. However, this did not detract from us having a most enjoyable time. The only criticism was the lack of clarity with the deposit for accidental damage. (this had to be in cash. Why not use a bank card? )

The house was great and in a fab location, just a few things in the listing that need clarification. There is 1 en-suite shower room and 2 shower rooms and toilets to be shared on the landing. On arrival we were asked for a deposit for cleaning and damages which we were not made aware of prior to our holiday - having to draw out £1500 euros as we did not carry that amount of cash and would be easier if this could be taken by card, Pierre was really nice and we had a great time would definitely recommend this area, As it can get hot would recommend taking a fan for bedroom

We had a wonderful stay. Three generations of family. Lovely well equipped and well furnished property in a fabulous location. Our host was very helpful and accommodating. We made very good use of the outdoor covered pool - the whole family had great fun in it. The wonderful beach - with a bar selling drinks and crepes, and an oyster/prawn bar (delicious) was a 5 minute walk away. We had a fabulous week - thank you Pierre - and would definitely recommend.

We enjoyed our stay despite the weather being a bit mixed - the covered pool was good for the inclement weather. Nice house, well equipped - could do without the don't do this and don't do that signs and the balcony needs some TLC.

Pierre was lovely to deal with. The house is beautiful and the pool was brilliant, would suggest making the cleaning fee and damage deposit a bit more well known for people arriving but otherwise would definitely stay here again and easily tell others to.

Nice location with a short walk to restaurants and some small shops. Large Super U less than 10 minutes by car. Plenty of room at the house with nicely finished bedrooms. Enough showers and toilets for the whole group. Probably the best facility was the heated and covered pool which everybody loved.

We were warmly welcomed by Pierre upon arrival and were shown around the property and the pool with clear instructions on how to use the dishwasher etc. and also given some fabulous restaurant tips. The house was immaculate and incredibly well appointed including a nespresso machine! The pool was perfect for a family of five and always the right temperature. The beds were comfortable and the house spotless. The location is amazingly close to the beach with shops a short walk away. Would highly recommend. Grace a Pierre pour un sejour incroyable!
