Host is outstanding house is very clean and the view is astounding!

The key feature of this property was/is the pool, however, the host failed to mention that it was not operational and had not been operational for a number of days prior to our arrival. This was confirmed by another guest when we arrived, who informed us that the pool had a leak, which the host was well aware of. We attempted to have a discussion with the host directly; however, he was unprofessional and not willing to have any reasonable discussion when requested. While the overall condition of the property, including the interior was nice and well maintained, the description and pictures of the interior are deceiving. If you are a person with mobility issues and/or small children, this unit has three levels with many stairs to get to the main level where the kitchen is located. Additionally, the driveway is very steep if you plan to walk anywhere. Also, when the pool is operational, it's not private as listed in the description and the area is small. It should also be noted that we did get minimal compensation from the host and when further contact occurred directly with VRBO, they attempted to contact the host to have further discussion about our complaint, however the host was not willing to provide any further compensation. Another point to highlight is that VRBO was made well aware of the pool issue and that the property continued to/continues to list the pool as a key feature. Beware.

The description of the property included a pool. When we arrived, the pool was not operational and was only half filled. We were told that the pool recently broke and that it would be repaired. That never happened. The dirt ring around the indicated that the pool had not been used it a long time. When I inquired about a partial refund, I was rejected. My final request was for the pool to be removed from the listing description. I do not know if this happened.

The condo and pool were beautiful and super clean. It was close to great food and experiences. We enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful villas in a quiet area of Gambier. Well maintained property. Recommend renting a car to move around island.
