Charming bioclimatic villa in DESHAIES, 300m from Fort Royal beach

Nicely maintained, nicely designed, roomy - ideal for our group of 7. Wonderful hot tub. Our kids didn't much want to leave the house! We don't speak French so there was some communication difficulties but there were no real problems

The house is great, we had a brilliant time there. It’s very comfortable and well-appointed, location is terrific.

The house is spacious and has plenty of room. We loved the “open to the outside “ concept. The pool and hot tub were very nice, also! The location is very good, quite close to a small boulangerie/ grocery store (where they make excellent crepes!). It’s a very short distance to the most beautiful beach I have ever been on, La Plage de la Peale. Death In Paradise fans would recognize this beach ! The caretaker was helpful and extremely competent! I look forward to our next visit to Zen Villa!

This house was a perfect retreat for our 3 generations reunion. Rain or shine, the open area living room was an amazing place to gather around. Far away from any hustle and bustle, but close to gorgeous beaches, markets, and supermarket, this house was in an ideal location. Claude was very responsive; Estelle was at the airport to transfer us to the house as we rented the owner's car, Fabrice was at the house to greet us and took care of getting us a carry-out dinner as we arrived late... they all deserve a 5 star as we were able to relax right from the start. We stayed here with 5 kids and 4 adults over Christmas. We had a wonderful time. The house was clean and very comfortable. With its open concept it was ideal for enjoying the fantastic weather. We arrived late on Christmas Eve and we’re worried about finding food for Christmas Day, but luckily found a small store open down the street til 12pm. We ended up going there daily for fresh bread and other small necessities. We visited a different beach daily, each within a 5 to 15 minute walk or drive and each as fantastic as the next. We also spent time exploring the volcano and other parts of the island. It was always nice to come back from a long day and be able to relax while my energetic kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub. There were very few mosquitoes while we were there and each of us only ended up with a bite or two from one evening.

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful villa in December. It's located on Basse-Terre, the lush mountainous side of the island, which is very tranquil and an easy drive from the airport. The beaches here are amazing with less tourists than the other side of the island, Grande Terre. The villa was kid friendly, and the pool and the hot tub were definitely a plus. The host was easy to communicate with and accommodating to our needs. For example, he arranged for the caretaker to pickup dinner for us upon our arrival since we had an evening flight and couldn’t make it to the villa until around 8:00 pm. Parking was easy despite the villa being built upon the side of a small mountain. There was a flat parking area above the villa with space for about 8-10 cars to park and it was never full. Overall this was a great place to stay and would come back here again.

Very nice overall. Pool and spa were lovely, kitchen and BBQ really great. Bedrooms were nice too. Love the open floor plan. Mosquitoes were a bit of an issue.

We stayed at this house Feb 1-7, 2018 and had a wonderful time. The house was exactly as described, if not better. The place was very clean and the property manager was always just a quick phone call away (we didn't need to call him, but he was great to share info on local spots to visit). Less than 5 min walk to a great beach and across the street from a resort and pizza shack that were delicious. Another pleasant surprise was how private the house felt. Neighbors are close by but completely hidden by foliage. Thanks!

The place is perfect for a large family or two couples with kids. Just note there are two bathrooms that would make it harder for large group of adults. The locations is on a quieter side of the island and I hope it will stay that way without big hotel chains and shopping centers. This place is great for relaxing vocations away from a city. The property manager is very helpful and responsive to the needs. He definitely made us feel welcomed and gave great tips. Thank you!
