Stayed Sep 24, 2025We stayed only one night of our (4) night booking. Several items on previous reviews (in a book at the VRBO) were not addressed. The driveway is terrible. Very steep with wash outs, ruts and deep mud puddles on the few flat spots. There was dust on the countertops that we could write our names in. Furniture and covers were so dirty we didn't want to sit on them. 1-1/2 rolls of TP. We were told to use the laundry soap that was provided; however, it was not provided. Beautiful location. Seems like with a little bit of effort this place could be wonderful.

Stayed Jul 14, 2025The house was gorgeous and the views amazing. The Wi-Fi was spotty - lost coverage daily for a few hours each time. The kitchen and bathrooms could have been better stocked (there were no garbage bags, just 1 dishwasher tablet, no handsoap bar in one of the bathrooms, no extra toilet paper, a wine bottle as a welcome gift but no bottle opener, etc.). When we reached the hosts about the kitchen/bathroom essentials they said we should provide these ourselves.

Stayed May 9, 2025The home is a hilltop farmhouse remodeled nicely. Views of Radda and the vineyards of Chianti. Very conveniently located to reach: Radda 10 min., Panzano 15 min, Castellina 20 min, Montepulciano 35 min. Many excellent vineyards close by. Excellent restaurants in Radda and Volpaia. We highly recommend Castello di Volpaia for a wine tour and dinner. If you want a true Chianti experience, this is a great home base. Road in is bumpy but no issue, wet or dry. Note that the key fits the door at the rear of the house. You need to go up the stairs to access the door.

Stayed Oct 16, 2024We enjoyed our stay at Le Vecchie Villa near Radda Italy. The views from our villa were magnificent, olive trees and vineyards surrounding the property. It's a bit of a steep climb on the unpaved road to the property so drive slow and steady. I'd recommend guests get a vehicle with a sufficient ground clearance to avoid the ruts on the road. We experienced some rain, so it was nice to stay in for the day and play games and sample our many Italian food delights purchased at the local Coop grocery store. The beds were super comfy and being able to open all the windows and let the fresh air in was a treat. The kitchen had all the amenities we needed to make meals, and we made coffee each morning in the Moka machine supplied by our guests. I'd give our stay 5 stars!
