Stayed Dec 31, 1969A very thoughtfully stocked house. We were 8 adults, 6 children and 2 infants. There was plenty of room to spread out and have our own individual family spaces while at the same time the house offers 3-4 unique spaces where all can gather. Very safe for children, balconies sturdy, stairs are easily traversed, and the entire property can be gated off to keep the circus in! A cook's paradise, plenty of tools and equipment in the two full kitchens and a gas range in both! Top quality paddle boards and kayaks as well as many other beach toys. We could've brought more toys for the kids, from La Paz or somewhere. Although we had to clean up before our daily cleaning service came(6 CHILDREN) they were very thorough and would be able to tackle a mess from a less messy crew in no time. This house is literally right on the water front. This house is also close to an arroyo(dried up river/creek) which we did some hiking up, provided lots of good outings for the kids and got some jitters out. We found our way into some new and interesting foothills with tones of different cacti, most notably the Cholla! Bring lots of cash, La Ventana has but one machine, and was completely empty with no hurry to fill it. You will want some for the fish market, tortilleria, roast chicken stand, grapefruit guy, and other markets and stands on the main drag. In all, this house is a dreamy as you would want it to be, especially if you are into kite surfing! Not the most ideal wind conditions for beaching basking, at least during the time we were there. The outdoor shower is a treat. Terri is a true concierge, helping with many details and comforts. It we find ourselves hearing the call of the Cholla again, we will be calling Terri for this beautiful place again.

Stayed Jan 7, 2018From first speaking with Terri to our days lounging on the beach each and every interaction was positive! The staff, the community, and the kiters were wonderful. Great place with activities close by, including snorkeling at the beach out front of the casita, swimming with whale sharks in La Paz, and the excitement of the kite competition enthralled us from beginning to end. We were so sad to leave but we will return! Thank you Terri for your eye for detail and having us visit your wonderful home!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The house is so incredibly beautiful and well thought-out. Waking up in the gorgeous room and walking onto the beach is worth every penny. The kitchen is a dream! It is so well equipped. They have tons of water toys to play with during your stay. We woke up and paddle boarded every morning. The hosts are kind and accommodative. We live this place! Can't wait to book again.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969I glanced at some of the other reviews. The descriptions of the house are all spot on; well thought out layout, beautiful crafted, attention to usability, well appointed… All this is true. But, what makes this house really standout is it’s an awesome base for Kiting, I mean awesome, as in, can’t be beat. We’ve been coming to La Ventana for years to kite and have stayed at a number of different places. Most of our houses are on the bluff, with a long stair walk to the beach. Don’t get me wrong, these bluff houses are great, but there is usually a long stair-walk to the beach and these houses aren’t really set up for kiting. Why is this a Kiter house? First, George and Teri’s house is on THE beach. Launch and go; steps from the front door. If the tide is out, walk a few hundred yards to Rasta beach. Second, the house’s location almost guarantees no crowds (we setup a self-launch/land for the number of times no one is around when we launch/land). Third, Coming in for the day there’s a place to wash out your gear and a bonus outside shower. Fourth, ground floor lockable gear storage. Gear is tucked away. No tripping over all the loose kiting paraphernalia on the deck. Fifth, the huge front patio is perfect for watching all the on-water kiter antics. Short of a chair on the beach, there isn’t a better viewing spot. Sixth, the hot springs beach is a popular downwinder launch site. This house is just down from this beach. No need to arrange downwinder drop-off logistics. Just launch from the front of the house. An end-of-day downwinder to Baja Joes is almost required. Seventh, we weren’t really looking to make new friendships. But in our stay, Kiters were staying in the downstairs units. In the daily kite routine, friendships just happen. An unexpected bonus. Neither George or Teri is a kiter (at least not yet!), but this house feels like it was designed by kiters for kiters. A great house in a great place!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We stayed for a week in the Oasis suite (lower level, 2 bed, 1 bath) and had such a great time. The house has everything you'll need, including paddle boards, kayaks and other fun water toys. You're just steps from the Sea of Cortez and its fabulous beach, which we had to ourselves for the entire week. When we weren't on the beach we lounged on the huge patio in the garden. The photos are exactly what you'll find...beautiful, clean, well appointed space. We'll certainly be back again.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969It's hard to put into words how amazing this house is and how awesome the owners are! It is beautifully designed, well stocked with all the kitchen supplies, towels/blankets, and water toys you could ever need, and RIGHT ON THE WATER. We had our two young kids with us and it was perfect for our family. We loved how the house did such a good job of blending with the outdoors. We loved having meals on the outside dining table and hanging on the porch--nice and cool with a fan and shade. Wifi worked great too. Maid service every day was my dream come true. Paddleboarding in the morning on glassy water is dreamy, you don't even need a mask to see all the beautiful reef fish. We loved snorkeling too, my 5 year old snorkeled for hours every day. Perfect spot to get away from tourists but have fun activities to do all day. Terri is so helpful and nice--we came for my 40th birthday and she left a bottle of champagne in the fridge and a birthday card! Seriously, who does that? She was so communicative the entire time when we had any questions or needed anything. We went fishing with Mundo a few days and it was awesome. We also love the little town of El Sargento--such good food at local prices (No Cabo mark ups here). Our fave restaurant is Mariscos El Cone. Get the Tataki! We didn't want to leave and we will be back! Thank you Terri and George!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Thank you Terri for an amazing stay it was a wonderful adventure. We stayed at the casita upstairs and it was a dream. We had everything we needed. Traveling with an infant can be stressful but as soon as we arrived we realized we had made the right decision. It is private, clean, spacious and beautiful! Our baby girl felt right at home as she gave us a full 10 hours of sleep at night the whole time we stayed. The outdoor shower was my personal favorite feature of the property. Home has wonderful breeze and views. Waking up to those gorgeous sun rises makes you appreciate life. Oh and in case you need to get some technology time, Wifi worked perfectly.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Thank you to Terri and George for such an excellent stay. The house is BEAUTIFUL and tasteful, hands above anything else on the beach. Everything you need and more. My 14 year old daughter and I had the best of everything. She could play in the water while I read a book on the veranda. The WIFI worked... amazing in this location! Water toys and sunrises and sunsets. We even did a full moon SUP! Eerily beautiful, I kept waiting for the Orcas to come and eat me.... JK! Just one too many shark movies in my history. We will be back before too long. Feliz!
