Casa Ouricos Large Pool Villa Walk to Beach

Lovely villa with an amazing pool. Villa layout slightly awkward going through a bedroom to get to pool or having to use the front door. Would benefit from gated driveway to improve feeling of security. Great peaceful location it a short walk or taxi to town.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Villa. Everything was perfect. Pool was huge, the kids absolutely loved it. Just a short walk down to the town and beach. Lots of beautiful beaches to explore if you don’t mind hopping in the car. We’ll definitely be back in the future. Thank you ?.

Spacious extremely clean and well equipped villa, the pictures and description are accurate and the grounds are really large with 3 or 4 different terrace areas to sit. We stayed 2 weeks from 4 July'19 with 2 families in the second week and it never felt like we were on top of one another. The kitchen is large and well super well equipped and the pool is huge with an nice BBQ and dining area at one end. We also used the table tennis quite a lot. Its close to several supermarkets (within 1-3km) and 15 mins walk to to seafront, closest restaurants 8-10 min walk. A small cafe / bar has recently open at the end the road less than 100m from the villa. Carvoerio was a good choice for our group with kids from 6m to 16 years, a good selection of restaurants, ice cream shops and beach all within easy walking distance. Travel cot and high chair are provided and there are fold down beds which make it easy to accommodate 3 people in one of the rooms. Communication with James at Carvoerio Villas was easy and efficient. One of the a/c units and DVD weren't working when we arrived and both were replaced at the end of the first week. I'd like to give 4 1/2 stars and we would certainly consider returning. I didn't give 5 stars because of a few small details: the Satellite TV english language channel selection is poor (Sky News / Bloomberg News and a handful of US channels) , no BBC or ITV channels so we had to resort to watching Wimbledon on an iPad. Also worth knowing the WIFI signal doesn't reach the pool end of the house or pool area (a simple wifi extender would fix this). The villa could also use some additional sun loungers around the pool (there were 5 which is too few when villa is at full occupancy) and the ping pong bats are falling apart and need replaced. These are small things and will be unimportant to some guests, but for us it was the difference between very good and perfect.

We stayed here last year and enjoyed it so much we came back. This is just about the best equipped villa we've stayed in - it has plenty of all the gear you'll need. The pool is enormous, and gated ( so good if you have young children). And it's only a 10-15 minute stroll into Carvoeiro. When to odd thing went wrong (e.g. a fuse tripping) George was immediately contactable to get it fixed. We checked in with no problems and had been to Intermarche supermarket (2 minutes in the car) and back in no time. We'd go back any time.
