Casa Das Areias - Three Bedroom Villa, Sleeps 6

Me and my partner booked his villa quite last minute and it did not disappoint! Kitchen was well equipped and the outdoor area was phenomenal! We didn’t rent a car and chose to use Ubers instead which were very cheap as wasn’t far from most things. Lovely and quiet, gardener came by once but didn’t disturb us. Will definitely look to book again!

• Great location • Amazing villa • Great amenities (pool, ping pong table, baby essentials, garden) BUT be aware that you have to bring your own toilet paper, garbage bags, dish soap, laundry detergent, cooking oil, etc. Hopefully what we bought will remain available for the future renters.

The Pros: Its a very nice, rural and quite place. No noise at all. A car which passes unheard 2 or three times a day. The large pool is a plus since the beach is a 25 minutes drive away as well as the supermarkets. A filter is running and the water is clean. A gardener drops in every 3 - 4 days to water the plants. He disturbes no one and its a very private place.We were pretty late booking since another destination was planned beforehand. Planned well in advance the range of vilas will be greater to choose from. So in the end it was quite ok. The communication with Agni travel which offers the vila was excellent and can be recommended. It couldn't have been done better. Next time we come back to the Algarve I will choose the same agency. The contras: The vila is a minimum of 25 to 30 years old. It does need a complete renovation the owner refuses for profit reason only I guess. The drawers and shutters in the kitchen don't work properly. The kitchen tools selection is poor and if you like to cook bring along your own equipment as we did. Most annoying was (and that says it all) that toilet paper should be placed in a seperate basket. What we did. At the final day my wife took a hot bath since she got a cold. The outcome was a deaster since the piping system didn't work at all and the bathroom got flooded. It took us 2 - 3 hrs to get everything worked out clean, dry and tidy again. I am afraid to say for that reason we won't book this place again.

This is just what we wanted; clean, spacious, and a lovely pool to relax in! Also in a good location. Nearby are some nice restaurants that offer tasty local specialties. We are really happy that we had a chance to stay there and we will come back for sure.

Great accommodation, comfortable, spacious and well-equipped. We had an amazing time thank you. The private pool and barbecue added to the allure. Walking distance to the beach and restaurants was the cherry on top!

Easy access to some lovely restaurants at the local beach, all of which served stunning fish dishes and great breakfasts if you fancied an early morning stroll. The pool was gigantic plenty of space for my group and I. Ideal holiday.
