Caribbean Dawn - A Large family Villa With Access to a on-site Private Beach

Our American family of 5 with a couple and 3 other adults had a lovely time for 8 days in this beautiful bungalow. With 4 bedrooms, 3 full baths, large covered front porch, open enclosed backyard and sprawling lawn with garden, there was plenty of room for everyone. Very usable kitchen with large microwave and gas cooktop. The beach and beachside bar are awesome! Do not miss Dunn River falls and the Falmouth Luminous Lagoon. Host is responsive and knows the area well. We loved our holiday here!

We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly at the Carribean Dawn. Jennifer was amazing, helping us with anything we needed. Beautiful home with a great location. Will definitely stay here again.

Lovely location and wonderful beach near by.

The villa was wonderful and spacious, we were 3 couples and another adult. The grounds around the house were beautiful and we enjoyed the privacy this gave us, as well as the fresh coconut juice we had from the the trees. The octagon table was great for our evening meals. Kay and Tyrone, the owners, were readily available to answers any of our queries. Jean the helper was friendly, informative and very helpful. She came 3 times a week and changed our towels and sheets. Jean also did our washing ( as the washing machine was temperamental). The Mammee Bay estate was very beautiful, well kept and felt very safe to walk around. The Mammee Bay beach was a 10 minute stroll away with free sun lounges and a lovely cafe selling delicious food and serving cold drinks.

Kay and Team Were great hosts, the house was very well located and beach was great. Value for money this place cannot be beat!

Every room was so lovely and the home has great character. Short walk to an awesome beach with small coral reef and fantastic restaurant on the beach. The only reason we didn't give the home 5 stars is that we would prefer air conditioning throughout the home, it's only in bedrooms but those are nice and cold for sleeping. The fruit on the grounds is absolutely delicious. The pictures are completely accurate. If you want an authentic old Caribbean feel, with ceiling fans and open concept, this is the place for you. We plan on returning.

Caribbean Dawn is a lovely spacious villa within the safe and well maintained Mammee Bay estate. The Villa has four seizable bedrooms all with air conditioning. There is a very large living area divided into different areas all well laid out. Large double doors look out onto the beautifully maintained garden that includes two mango trees. The villa also comes with a pool table and that most important of modern requirement wifi. A short pleasant walk along a coconut lined avenue takes you to a private beach with a beach bar. It's not cheap but then you a paying for good service and a view to across the sea. There are various activities available or just enjoy a cold beer or cocktail. We were met by Audrey who introduced us to the villa as well as Nellie who comes in each weekday and will cook for a small payment. Her ackee and saltfish went down a storm. Without doubt Nellie is a gem. A short drive along the coast takes you to the busy town of Ocho Rios which contains a number of restaurants. We would recommend Miss T's just past the amazingly busy clock tower on the left. Good quality food at reasonable prices with a number of vegetarian options. Just watch the car's undercarriage when you go into their car park. Evita's is up the hillside and a little more expensive but definitely worth a visit. For those who prefer quick food then try the Island Grill and Juci Patties. There is now a new toll road just down the road from the villa that takes you into Kingston and Spanish Town. State of the art road which goes through some stunning countryside. The national art gallery in Kingston is definitely worth visiting. So for those looking for a good safe family sized villa in a lovely setting, near to the beach and within easy access to Ocho Rios then like us Caribbean Dawn could be the place for you.
