Boutique 8 bed Villa with indoor heated pool,

We had a fantastic stay at this property for my sister’s hen do. The space is spacious and clean and the hosts extremely responsive and helpful. Because it is a former hotel, every bedroom has its own en suite bathroom. This made the process of everyone getting ready to go out in the evenings so much easier.For me, one of the best features is the layout. The main living and social areas are located on the bottom floor, which is effectively sound gapped by the ground floor above it. This meant those who wanted to head to bed earlier could sleep while the rest of the party continued downstairs without disturbing anyone.The location is also excellent. It is a short walk into Ilfracombe town centre, which was great for grabbing ice creams and pasties by the sea. The bus routes into Barnstaple are reliable and cheap, with one-way tickets costing only 3.I would highly recommend this property to any large group looking for a comfortable, well-located base in Devon. We’re already looking at rebooking for a family birthday. We had a brilliant time, and it really made the hen weekend special.

Amazing weekend, the house was perfect for a large family, 4 families in total. The children & big children enjoyed the swimming pool. The house was spacious, very clean and tidy with everything we needed.

The house is absolutely amazing, the shared areas are wonderful, plenty of space and comfortable, the bedrooms are lovely, spacious with en-suites, the pool is a delight, warm and big and the bar area is amazing! 17 of us loved this house, we've been going away together for decades and this was the best house for our needs so far.

Great choice for a large group of friends. The pool and facilities (eg fire pit) were great, kitchen was very well supplied with everything we needed. We had 12 people for a joint 30th birthday party and could comfortably have had many more. Only minor thing was because it is such a lovely old building, some of the rooms got quite cold in the night (mainly the ones with floor to ceiling windows) and we weren't sure how to put the heating on. However Matt messaged directly to tell us to let him know when to put the heating on - but would have been good to have this info beforehand.

Really amazing place with lots of rooms for all of us to hang out in. We especially liked the bar lounge and the swimming pool area. Great hosts who were quick to respond to queries and really helpful. Would highly recommend if you have a large group!

Opportunity to enjoy time with the whole family with each having their own nicely decorated room and en-suite. In general there seems to be a number of small maintenance issues needed in the property, such as the oven, radiator permanently on (solved by turning all the heating off). Loose door handles. Matt was extremely helpful and always available. It would be helpful to have additional tea towels and toilet rolls. The indoor swimming pool, bar room and table football were a huge success for the family. The location to the beach and amenities were very good and the surroundings are beautiful.

Very well impressed about the location and the beautiful house. The house had everything we needed for a family gathering including a fantastic pool.

We were a large family group of 22. This was the first time we had all stayed together and the property worked really well for us. We didn't feel like we were on top of each other, we loved the pool. All in all our few days at this property were a great success.
