Nestled on the beautiful hills just 10 minutes away from Lucca's famous ancient walls, Villa Le Cipressae was probably first built in the 15th century as a church and a monastery. This supposition is confirmed by the design of the garden with its columns and walkways and for three stone arches on the southern facade. The first exact record as a house dates from 1690 when the powerful Mansi family owned it.

Stayed Aug 6, 2023We stayed in the villa for four weeks and had a fantastic time. House is spacious with plenty of indoor space and places to socialize. Gardens are beautiful and well maintained. Communication with owner, property manager and on-site support was easy and any questions were answered promptly.

Stayed Jul 26, 2022We had a fantastic time at this very exceptional property in Tuscany/Italy. I would like to especially emphasize the extreme helpfulness of the caretaker of the property, Elisa, who always answered questions quickly and found uncomplicated solutions. Many thanks for this! A note for interested tenants of the property: the house is very idyllically located in the hills outside Lucca. A car is essential for mobility. The rental price of the house is not a bargain, however it was a very special experience and we will always remember our vacation at the villa fondly. Next time we visit Tuscany we will be happy to request the villa again.

Stayed Aug 15, 2020Having rented many villas over the years in France and Italy I think this one is fantastic. The owner is extremely charming and helpful and there is a couple living by the villa who are there to ensure all the support you want is available during your stay - be it cleaning, cooking, clearing etc they are very kind. The villa is beautiful with lovely classic Tuscan hillside views and is full of stunning interior features as well as having a mature well kept garden complete with vine covered pergolas and a lovely covered outside area in which to have sunset drinks and all day dining. Lucca is only a short drive away and all other essential amenities are nearby. All in all a lovely place!
