The villa is in Paravati, one of the small villages in Calabria in which time has stopped: everything is as it was 30/40 years ago, pristine and nicely vintage.
We are very close to Tropea (30 km) and to Lamezia Terme International Airport (50 km).

Stayed Jul 26, 2019From initial booking communication with Ferdinando was excellent. He answered my many queries promptly. The villa is all on one level but must be accessed up stairs/steps so would be an issue for anyone with mobility issues. It was well equipped but missing a few minor things for self catering option (bread knife/corkscrew/chopping board) but none of these were major. Bedrooms were extremely spacious with excellent air conditioning which was very welcome in the +35degree heat! There were lovely terraces and balconies surrounding property which gave views over the street (great for watching the festival) or over the countryside. Externally the property and garden would benefit from a bit of TLC to bring it up to a standard to match the interior but this did not spoil our enjoyment of the space. There were plenty of garden tables and chairs and the provision of a couple of sun loungers would be good to enjoy the sun by the pool. Tropea (a beautiful seaside town) is only about 30 mins away and the ferry to Sicily is only a 40min drive away. A car is definitely needed to get around. Stella who managed check in was very attentive, offering to bring us in shopping and brought gelato for us to share on our last evening. Communication was a little difficult as she spoke no english and my italian is not the best-but we managed with Google Translate!! This property provides good accomodation and was extremely good value for money. Thank you to Ferdinando and Stella for making our first stay in Calabria a most enjoyable one.
