Beautiful beachfront getaway. Recently updated...air conditioning, through out

Location is the best! Easy to get to from the airport. If you arrive midafternoon or later you want to stay close to Maho or you will be in hours of traffic as you go toward Simpson Bay. Best pool we have been in on the island. Larger than most villas we have stayed in on the Island. Pat the house keeper is excellent , the grounds keeper keeps things nice and tidy. Recommend Miskito spray and bring water shoes as lite showers makes the tile step a bit slippery. This is our second stay at this villa and we have it reserved again next year

We spent almost all of our time in the pool and the view was picturesque. Loved the entire trip and the house was great. Note, the whole house is open air (which adds to the island experience). I only wish the 2 air conditioned sleeping quarters had a way to hold the AC in for a little relief from the heat. But I would stay here again.

We fell in love with the Terres Basses and Plum Bay location several years ago, and this house is right on the water. The pool is just off the beach and is the perfect place to enjoy the Caribbean sun. We absolutely loved everything about it and hope to return.

This house is very spacious. Shame there were only four of us as it had tons of room inside and out. In the living room I counted one couch, three loveseats and four chairs and it was not crowded. Huge upstairs screened in patio. Another big covered patio downstairs as well. Lots of loungers, chairs and umbrellas. Went every morning for a dip in the sea and we were the only ones on the beach! Gets very hot in the afternoon so the pool was a bonus. Pool was maintained and maid service is also included. Caretakers very nice and helpful. Miss their dogs! It is on the French side but you are very close to Dutch side and there is a great Thai place in the marina (next to Carrefour) about a five minute drive just after you cross to Dutch side. Loved this vacation. Only complaint was the bug bites which obviously owners cannot control. Bring bug spray! Home could use some renovations and I would suggest screening in the outdoor hallway that connects to the downstairs bedrooms. Loved that they were separate from the main house and there were locked gates at both ends so you didn’t have to worry about intruders. Although I must say I never felt unsafe. Definitely want to go back to our private oasis. Absolutely loved it!

Beautiful beach and privacy but too rocky along the shore to go swimming in the water. Pool at the house was great, grand kids loved it. House is wonderful, typical beach house on the water but a little too hot and humid for me. Wish it had more air conditioning but that would be impossible without expensive upgrades to the house. Worse problem was the insects and mosquitoes. Again, understandable for being right on the beach. We were use to Condos in the past. Good value for the money and great care keepers on the property, very helpful. Very good kitchen but needed to cook out doors because of the heat inside. Wish the grill was gas but the charcoal was not a problem. Grill was more of a smoker that a grill but we figured it out eventually because you needed more time to cook things. Would definately try it again maybe in late fall season instead. Can't beat the location!

We enjoyed a great, relaxing family vacation. The villa was spacious, airy and comfortable. It was lovely to roll out of bed, make a coffee and head down to the pool or the beach for a walk. Tim was very helpful and addressed any questions or concerns immediately. He was even able to provide us with a highchair and pack'n'play for our youngest! We felt very much at home, with internet, satellite TV, fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, bath and beach towels, and North American type of outlets. The villa is located in a secure gated community and located only a short drive to Nettle Bay or Marigot and other amenities. But as other guests have said- we rarely wanted to leave! We would definitely consider this villa again for subsequent visits to St Martin- although we might bring another family with us next time too- there was lots of space for everyone, and would be a great place for large family meals or to relax by the poolside. The screened in deck upstairs was the perfect place to enjoy an evening glass of wine while the kids played. Just a few tidbits of general advice, especially for those with small children, none of which would affect our decision to return, but was handy to know : the tile floor can be slippery when wet, especially for little people running around/dripping from a swim, so use caution or or put down a beach towel carpet as needed. St Martin does have some mosquitoes, nothing major, but bug spray at dawn and dusk is a good idea (or just hang out in the screened in porch in the early evening). The beach is lovely to walk on, build sandcastles, listen to the surf, and dip your toes in the water, but there are also some rocks, so need to be aware if young children want to go swimming in the ocean- there are some spots that are more clear to enter than others (not a really a problem for adults). On the entire island of St Martin, there are only really 2 beaches calm enough for very young kids, one being Friar's Bay (Anse des Peres), which was a short drive away from the villa. We mostly used the pool to swim, which great to relax in. We loved having our own pool! Overall, we had a great stay, and would recommend this villa to family and friends. We will definitely keep it in mind for our next visit to St Martin!
