Stayed Dec 31, 1969Great property to stay for a week or so with some friends. Going to the different nearby beaches during the day, using the barbecue at night, nice bedrooms to rest. Overall a great week enjoying Aljezur/Arrifana.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We really enjoyed the days in this house. The area is just amazing and so is the weather in this region, even in the middle of November we had a lot of sunny days up there. The villa is new and there is just everything you need!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We stayed in Casa Corrigeen for a longer period in winter and we liked it very much. Everything is as described in the listing, very clean and well maintained with full equipment, we did not miss anything ! The owner is very helpful and provides super service. We can highly recommend it and we will come back again, for sure. The location is quiet and perfect for hiking and surfing as several beaches are close with best conditions. We had a great time !

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This property had everything we required. Nicely laid out and plenty of room for 6+ even though there was only two of us. Didn't matter there was no pool as the lovely beach of Monte Clerigo was only 5 mins away by car. We were met at the airport by Ron who was very helpful and also phoned to make sure we had settled in and had everything we needed. A car though is an essential here as the villa is situated in a very quiet location. A good BBQ and garden furniture. June is a good month to visit as the beaches were nearly empty, likewise the roads and even the restaurants. We loved the quiet. Another good beach was about 20 minutes away called Amoreira. It has a river running into the sea and if you stop before getting to the car park at the beach you walk onto a beautiful sandy river inlet beach, this is the perfect place for children, so safe and when the tide is out plenty of places to hunt for crabs, fishes etc. Not a lot of night life for teenagers. We really enjoyed our stay.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We don't have nothing bad to say about this house or our stay in Vale da Telha. In fact, it was excellent. The house is just perfect for a family of about 4-5-6 people. We did not miss anything in the house, anything we needed..was there. Ron, the owner of the house, is such a sweet person..he just made everything much easier..and he didn't have any problem with the dog, nor the cat..all our familly was welcome! Christmas in Vale da Telha is pretty calm..the weather is quite rainy, and when the sun goes it is quite cold. There's hardly nobody...everything is empty, and most of the restaurants are closed during the winter. But if you enjoy the nature, you do surfing, etc..you won't have any problem!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We (two adults, a 16-year-old and a 9-year-old) had a wonderful vacation visiting the Western Algarve region while staying at this charming house during the month July, 2008. There were two beautiful beaches within a 10 minute drive (Arrifana and Monte Clerigo), and within a 30 to 40 minute drive, the choices of beautiful beaches were numerous. The beaches were vast and not at all crowded even in the month of July; this was, of course, a drastic contrast to the southern Algarve beaches where sun-bathers were within a metre away and finding parking was a nightmare. All the beaches that we went to in the Western Algarve region were immaculately clean and well kept. Both children (15 and 9 years) spent a lot of time at the beach, swimming, body-boarding, surfing, etc. On most days, there were good waves for surfing, with a part of the beach safe enough for young children who would like to just play in the waves. The house/cottage was exactly as it was described in the bulletin. In addition, we were pleasantly surprised by its spaciousness, with an en-suite master bedroom that was ideal for a family. Large windows made the house bright and sunny, and there was a patio facing the garden that allowed us to enjoy eating outdoor. The house was well-kept, well-maintained, and well-equipped; the owners had provided extras such as laundry soap, dishing washing detergent, charcoal for grilling, etc, which was very thoughtful. (We have rented many house in Portugal and Europe where we have to run out to buy EVERYTHING!). The owners were there to welcome us when we arrived, and they were so thoughtful and sweet to have offered a welcoming gift as well! They have also compiled a very informative list of information, local restaurants, etc. Valle de Telha has several local restaurants, with typical Portuguese food and a menu that caters to tourists as well (e.g. hamburger, chips-and-egg for tourist from the UK ). Servers in restaurants often spoke English. We did a lot of cooking ourselves, finding pleasure in grilling fresh fish that we bought from the local market in Aljezur. We would be pleased to recommend this place, particularly for those who enjoy the sea and nature. This house is also an ideal setting for spending time with family, to find peace in nature, and to RELAX. A 15-minute jog will take you to the point where you have a spectacular view of sunrise and sunset everyday. Enjoy!
