Stayed Aug 26, 2023This is an amazing location with stunning views and a small but very practical house with all you need. Very kind reception and some suppies stockednfor your stay. Would highly recommend this. Due to the beach in front being washed away some locals sometimes pass over the terrace to reach a mext door beach, but all very friendly and no problem.

Stayed Jul 1, 2023We've had one of our best holidays ever in Beach Gem. Absolute privacy, even though, when we had questions Sarah was always near. The house has everything you could possibly need. The beach is almost private, shallow and clean, therefore perfect for small children. Sarah even brought some extra toys for our daughter. We're looking forward to come back.

Stayed Sep 8, 2021Outstanding and very private location. The house is tastefully built and furnished, and it has everything one would need - down to a two person kayak and snorkeling gear. It is literally on the beach… there are the ocasional locals that walk by, but it is like having your own private sandy beach. We slept with the windows open and the sounds of the waves lapping at the shore. Sarah, the host, waited for us at the house, with a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge, among many other snacks and refreshments. She was accessible and responsive while I was booking the property, as well as while here. There are a handful of restaurants in Lefkimmi village, about 2km distance. You certainly need a car to get here from Corfu, as well as to get around. Corfu as an island is a great place to visit - we stayed a full week and everyday we found something amazing to see and do… absolutely loved it!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We had an incredible week in villa Beach Gem. The location is stunning and pictures don’t do it justice. The beach in front of the villa is wonderful with mainly local people visiting in late afternoon. The water is calm and shallow and ideal for children. The villa is well positioned, close to main amenities and walkable distance to the nearest bakery, tavernas etc. The villa itself is clean and very well equipped with everything one could possible need. Whilst we initially planned to explore the main beaches nearby, we just fell in love with our own beach and ended up staying mainly in the villa and fully enjoying the benefits of it. Sarah is a wonderful host and went out of her way to make us feel welcome. Would highly recommend and hope to go back again in future.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We found Beach Gem to be a wonderful holiday villa. We spent eight nights there and were spoilt with first class accommodation, limitless access to the warm sea and beautiful views towards mainland Greece. It all looks exactly as it does in the photos. The sea is calm and shallow. You can walk out a long way before the water becomes deeper. The water is crystal clear. We enjoyed snorkelling in the reefs found once you swim out a short way and saw a variety of fish and even an octopus. The water was always warm during our late August break and we would swim two or three times a day. A two person kayak was even provided and, because the water is calm, we felt very safe paddling around. During the afternoons we would often sit enjoying the views cooled by the gentle breeze coming off the sea. For such a hot place, Corfu is very green and the Villa and adjourning land is surrounded by a wide variety of lush trees and shrubs. Inside the villa is beautifully presented and decorated as a beach house with art reflecting the environment painted by the owner and is well equipped including more than enough kitchen utensils and crockery. The beds are comfortable and air conditioning cool when required. There is a barbecue at the side of the terrace. Behind the villa is a large area for parking. The beach beyond the boundary of the villa is a public beach. It seems to be used mainly by the locals in the morning or late afternoon. There were long stretches of the day when we had the beach almost entirely to ourselves and, during the evenings, no one was around and we just enjoyed the views towards the mountains on the mainland and the occasional passing boat. There is a television which we had no need to use with such great views. The beach did not seem to attract many tourists and the locals who used the beach will have swam there throughout their lives. We saw the same faces daily and use areas adjacent to the villa but this was never a problem as we understood this is their favourite spot to swim and cool down too. We often ate at tavernas within a radius of a 25 minute drive (a car is invaluable). We recommend selecting those with the very highest Google or Trip Advisor ratings including recent reviews. Sarah and Alex, the owners, were close by and available if we needed them and excellent hosts leaving us to enjoy ourselves without intrusion. In short, we loved it and hope to return!
