Stayed Nov 18, 2023It was great in its early days now appears rundown except the swimming pool and gazebo that are both excellent. The staff was very polite and helpful. Here is the problem, the day we arrived was raining and water went from the floor into 2 bedrooms, 1/2 inch in entire bedroom plus 2 inches in the bedroom that is next to the pool, it drained the next day. There was no hot water for 48 hours, finally after many tries they figured out that the heater was burnt, then they brought a new unit but it took exactly 4 minutes before hot water appeared in any of the bathrooms because there is no water recirculating pump, so taking a shower was a hassle during the entire stay. The batteries in both the golf carts were bad the next day new carts were rented but we had to wait until they arrived. The sheets and bed covers were at the end of life, very thin and obviously ancient. The covers in the pool chaise lounges were green many years ago, they are totally discolored and not appealing visually. The couple of days thar we ate breakfast was good but our only dinner there was Thanksgiving and it was a disaster, we requested Filet Mignon and the meat was so tough and tasteless that most of it went untouched. The only redeeming part was that we requested a refund and we received 2 days back. We think that the advertising was false : there was no river within a km from the house, There was a distant view of the ocean and by our standards does not measure up to what they charge.

Stayed Mar 16, 2019We will be back!! The house was wonderful and exactly as advertised, with beautiful views of the river and ocean. Transfers from the Punta Cana airport were very easy and comfortable. The house was great with plenty of open air living space for everyone to gather together, or find quiet time alone for a book or nap. The outdoor Palapa is the best!! The staff was excellent and saw to our every need. Definitely five stars!!

Stayed Aug 5, 2017Located in a very peaceful environment, this beautiful property enabled us to spend incredible vacation. While all services were provided by efficient personnel (cook, cleaner, butler), we could just relax either by the large pool or at the private beach within driving distance. The layout of the house is adapted so that everyone can be independent from each other. Lunch and dinner under the gazebo were such a pleasure watching amazing sunsets. We will keep this place in our memory.

Stayed Jul 31, 2017I loved tHe wonderful pool,the view on the sea. The palm trees all around the garden and the general openness of the house made me feel connected to nature. The fish pond in the entrance is a beautiful touch. The jacuzzi was very well suited for nice cocktails with friends and relaxation at the end of the day, making our holidays at the house a wholesome experience. It was my second stay in Batey and i can t wait to come back!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This exquisite house with stunning view over the Rio and the carribean was the perfect choice for our family vacation, the hamacs in the huge garden hosting the avid readers in the shade, while the kids enjoyed ball games and swimming-pool,we enjoyed the 5 mn walks to the marina, or the 7 mn drive to the beach with the golf cart. It was great to get 2 of these 6 seat carts and so fun to drive around. villa location is very central, teenagers going out in Altos de Chavon village (@5mn) and parents at the fancy spots at the marina after savouring a delicious dinner made by the Chef. This welcoming house and staff was the perfect place to reconnect with family and friends and relax! Thanks!
