A Boutique Villa & Waterfront Playground: Private Pool, Hot Tub, Beach & Dock!

Big Bamboo was amazing! The villa and location is top notch! Not only a great villa, it was clean, very well stocked and hosted by the absolute best hosts, Steve and Kelly. We had a great time and got lots of R&R set on water that is crystal clear!

The pictures do not do this place justice. Kelly and Steve were amazing hosts. If we did not have it they did everything in their power to get it. Above and beyond our expectations!

If you've found this home and are considering it you should make the jump. That is if blue water, fishing (from the dock, bone fishing or offshore), snorkeling, spearfishing, diving, blue holes, kayaking and paddle boarding are your thing. Our group of 7 loved every minute of it. We were pleasntly surprised that it was even more beautiful in person than the photos of the property online. Kelly & Steve really have thought of everything to make your stay perfection. We were 2 families traveling with teen boys and we never once heard a single complaint from any of them. Our kids were in heaven. They caught dozens of fish from the dock, made sno cones, snorkeled from the pier, went spearfishing for lobsters, enjoyed the pool and hot tub and went to be so stinking tired every night. We loved it so much we have already reserved next year. If you are looking for a quality, off the beaten path experience then this spot is for you. Until next time Big Bamboo ?

Great week at big bamboo. Pictures don’t do house justice it’s even better. Couldn’t have asked for a better spring break week with my family. 100% would come back. My 8 yo asked me to move to big bamboo. Thanks for a great week!

9 months ago we started a search for a vacation property to celebrate our upcoming retirements and milestone birthdays with our family. We searched for a property that offered onsite activities and services to make our celebration vacation truly memorable while being away from the hustle and bustle of the larger vacation destinations. Boy did we find this with the Big Bamboo! To start, what a beautiful property! The pictures, while beautiful, do not do this place justice. The house is very well appointed, the views are incredible, and the sunsets are breathtaking! The property has everything an active group could ask for and the staff is always at the ready to find what you need and organize land and sea excursions you would want to do! And the staff....OMG, from the first contact we made with Kelly regarding this property, we felt the Big Bamboo was going to be a very special place. We were not disappointed! Kelly made the planning and logistics to make our dream vacation come true absolutely seamless. She is very, very good at what she does, especially her ability to turn the stresses of planning an adventure to an out island in THE BAHAMAS into a very fun and exciting experience from the day we first reached out to her to our final day when our Tropic Ocean Airways seaplane landed on Fresh Creek to start our journey home. Thank you Kelly for recommending the seaplane experience. Our family will never forget that experience! Captain Steve and his first mate/property manager Jerry truly took care of our clan with both land and sea excursions! Jerry, as an Andros local, shows and shares his passion for the area. He did a marvelous job helping our clan enjoy every moment of every excursion regardless of experience. And Captain Steve, thank you for your stories and friendship developed during those marvelous sunset cruises up Fresh Creek every evening! Kelly's recommendation to use a meal service while at Big Bamboo is not only spot on but its truly an experience you do not want to miss out on! We wanted to experience a true Bahamian experience while on Andros and K'lee (Kischdlee at K'lee Enterprizes) and her sidekick Rico brought that to our table with every meal they presented! Fresh caught lobster, Conch served every imaginable way, crab, shrimp, ribs, chicken and wild boar all freshly prepared and presented with love and care and with flavors that wowed our clan at every meal! Truly worth the experience and convenience!!!

This place was AMAZING!!! Let's start with Kelly and Steve. They supported us every step of the way! Kelly is very responsive and helpful. And sweet! We felt like we knew her already before we even showed up. She was there for any communication questions we had to grocery shopping to delays etc. Steve and the property manager Jerry entertained us by land and water daily. They put us on the fish, lobster, turtles, dolphins, reef, etc. Jerry even took my youngest out snorkeling on his back because he was scared of the reef! This house has everything. EVERYTHING! We had the most wonderful family Spring Break! We can't wait to do it again and share this wonderful place with friends and family.

Kelly, Steve and Mr. Big Bunny were beyond amazing. I cannot say enough great things about our experience. They were so wonderful to be around and great with our kiddos. Tropic Ocean Airways was fantastic as well. Can't wait to go back and see our sweet friends that became family!

From the moment we booked our stay until the moment we left, and even now when we reflect upon our stay, Big Bamboo far exceeded our expectations. The pictures cannot accurately depict the gorgeous property, expansive greenery, clear water and every detail lovingly in place. Our party of 6 was met at the Andros airport by our friendly cab driver and greeted at Big Bamboo by Kelly, Steve and Dino with ice cold beverages for our whole crew (3 adults and 3 tweens). From that moment on our time was filled with relaxing in the many lounging areas around the property, on the dock fishing, listening to music or swinging, floating in the lagoon, indulging in freshly made conch salad, swimming with the fish, enjoying boat rides on the whaler, making snow cones, sipping dockside cocktails from the Pirate Bar or on adventure with Steve or Dino. There was more than enough room in the house for everyone to have their own space. The beds, pillows and linens are lovely. There are plenty of decadent towels and bath products in every bathroom. Any appliance you may need is in the very well-stocked kitchen. Ordering groceries ahead of time is key, but if you forget something on your list Kelly and Steve will try to get it for you. We enjoyed two exquisite meals prepared by Miss Kischalee and all agreed we would have more next time! The giant ice machine and laundry facilities downstairs were two luxuries I appreciated the most! We cannot wait for our next visit to see our new friends, Kelly, Steve, Dino, and Miss Kischalee, next year!

We have stayed all over the world in many beautiful places. Hands down, this was our favorite. It was relaxing, beautiful and had animals!!! Our son, 7, loved feeding the chickens and giving the adorable cats treats in the morning. Every day a new adventure was waiting for him. Kelly and Steve, were exceptional from the moment of arrival you felt like you were being greeted by old friends you hadn’t seen in a while. Big Bunny made my son giggle non stop and he was just an all around good guy to be around. We fished, we made multiple trips down the slide until we were exhausted... when we retreated for the night Chef Kishalee made us an outstanding dinner each night. So my suggestion to you, don’t just go to Big Bamboo, run! ☺️

We had such an amazing unique trip for our family. Enjoyed the blue holes, learning to fly fish, meals from Mrs Keschalee, feeding the fish and chickens, and the warm weather. Steve and Kelly go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay! Kitchen is stocked for a gourmet cook and two grills outside. This was a perfect off the grid relaxing experience.
